President Bush almost shoe-whacked

Our great ol’ president came under shoe-fire Sunday in Baghdad after a man hurled two shoes at him during a news conference.

Iraq’s Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki tried to block US President George W. Bush from the dangerous assault after an Iraqi journalist threw two size 10 shoe at Bush during a joint press conference and signing ceremony at Maliki’s private office.

The secret service immediately took action and dragged the journalist out of the building. [Video after the jump]
