‘JDott’ performs at Dallas’ Rose Room
by Trey C. on April 6, 2009
“Sordid Lives” actor Jason Dottley (aka JDott), 29, was in Dallas’ gayborhood on March 28 to debuts his hit dance single “Hit Play (Take Me Away)” at the Rose Room.
The surprise performance thrilled the hundreds of screaming fans as he performed on stage with a buff male dancer. The trannies also held their weekly show — this week, performing a parody of Britney Spears’ ‘Circus.’
In an upcoming movie, Dottley will be playing it straight as a character name Tommy in ‘Tainted Love,’ which begins filming in May. Our source tells us that the film at its basic is an 80s party flick.
“Hit Play (Take Me Away)” will be released on May 12, 2009 on JD3 Records.

Okay, I don’t want to sound like a stalker, but Trey, I can’t believed you fallen to the celebs, babe! You actually edited your original post to take “midget out”?
On your facebook Jason Dottley said…
—-Loved your article but would u mind editing out the word “midget”? John is a really good friend of mine and he’s far from a midget :) — and I think it’s a little insulting. I’m not implying that that was your intention, just watching out for my friend :)—
I don’t know if you two been fucking on the side, but I wanted to read about the damn midget. It’s doesn’t change the naked guy’s height by removing it.
I still love you hun!

Michael:
I’m going to have set this straight!
First: Trey and I are NOT fucking (although he’d be a fine catch)
Second: my dancer is not a midget. I’m 6′1” and was in sneakers with at least an inch sole, AND John (my dancer) is at least 5′7.
Third: Trey was being kind by changing that, a trait he seems to have that you need to find a way to embrace.
Lastly, you DO sound like a stalker, and a mean spirited one at that.
I’m glad you read popwired, and I hope you ALWAYS do. But I suggest you post a picture of your self online and let a few of us choose some “innacurate” negative adjectives to call you, I think you need a little taste of what you seem to enjoy with such pride.
I have a little saying for people like you, “Fuck off!”
Trey, you did the right the thing, and that will always, always KEEP you rising above and beyond. I think you did what was right, and I will always remember you’re heart.
Now, I need coffee.

LOL! Oooh the heat and the contriversy have begun. Jason love you, your song and the performance! As for the vertically challenged dancer, I’m exactly the same height, and it’s a very good height indeed. I think he and I should make a bunch of short babies and take over the world!

Why is Jason singing with such a short (height challenged) dancer? The midget looks funny.

John De Los Santos is an incredible dancer/choreographer/actor/singer in Dallas. If you ever have a chance to see his work either as performer or choreographer, don’t miss it. His work is amazing. I remember his Mr. Bojangles dance he performed at a fund raiser for Uptown Players a few years ago….one of the most moving and emotional dances I have ever seen.
