i agree he doesn’t sing that well. Too bad clay aiken came out too late. he couldn’t started what Adam L did today.

He looks to much like Liza Minnelli (a mini minelli ) But not enough talent. I wish him well. He’s a bit chunky.

First of all, I really don’t think we need to bring Mr. Lambert’s looks into this, “ugly” or otherwise. Personally, I am considered “ugly” by a good number of gay guys out there (thanks to this lovely “Bette Midler” nose), and if Adam is also “ugly”, then KUDOS TO ME, I have a new role model, seeing as how he is an acclaimed performer and all…

I don’t find his performance all that terrible, really. It’s shock: “how can I make these people drop their jaws?” Granted, the performance was like a dish prepared by a spice-happy chef… too much paprika and your going to water some eyes… but then, in this country of burgeoning neo-conservatism, I think little reminders of our IMpurity are healthy, and dreadfully necessary. Yes, it was rather base, kinda classless… and that’s bad, because there are no classless and base straight people out there, right? Yes… right…

It takes all kinds, really, and if Adam is of the guy-liner, chrome-and-spike-studded leather outfit kind, then so be it – so it has been and always shall be… we all know this will boost his popularity by a thousand clicks for at least the next month, and then he will either pull another stunt or slink off into music industry oblivion… ie: as a “featured” actor in a horror film. Let the guy have his 15 minutes… who knows? He may just grow on us.

I think you guys are right. I thought the performance was way over the top and I actually do like Adam Lambert. I think he has some talent, but I think the whole thing was too much for national television. I don’t understand why he did it, he didn’t have to do it, but he did it. Now he has to live with the consequences, but so does the LGBT community. He set back our efforts toward equality a few years to be certain. He thought about himself and not the community he represents. That shows arrogance and selfishness. If you’re going to put yourself out there like that realize who you are representing cause it ain’t just yourself.
