The Adam Lambert drama that just won’t end! Well, now it’s Popwired’s turn to shrine in. After all, who knows better than the gays who judge other gays for a living?

Adam Lambert made ‘American Music Awards’  history Sunday evening with his provocative dance on live television.

During his musical performance he kissed his male keyboardist — gay gasp — and then shoved another one to his crotch, simulating what everyone assumes to be “oral sex.”

The drama continued Tuesday when ABC announced that they canceled their scheduled Wednesday concert with Adam Lambert, literally exploding the blogaysphere.

“Given his controversial American Music Awards performance,” an ABC spokeswoman said, “We were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”

CBS’s “The Early Show” immediately booked Lambert after hearing that ABC gave him the boot. The show will air an interview on the GMA drama.

The closeted Ryan Seacrest was curious enough to ask Lambert for a comment on ABC’s decision to cancel his GMA performance.

“Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It’s too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me,” Lambert said.

“They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren’t happy about it. I respect their decision – I don’t necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do.”

On his racy AMA performance Lambert said, “It’s choreography, we were dancing. The sexuality of it kind of got a little more extreme when I got up on stage. I think the adrenaline kind of took me over, and I admit it, and i’m proud of the fact that I did get a little carried away.”

“I don’t feel I owe anyone an apology for anything. I performed, it was late night TV, I did something that female performers have been doing for years, no different. It’s just the fact that I’m me and it’s a little different for people. It’s really not that big of a deal.”

“I’m not a babysitter, I’m a performer,” Lambert declared.

The Advocate’s Editor in Chief Jon Barrett also responded to the Lambert drama. While Barrett recognizes that simulated oral sex may not be best for a morning TV show, he also asks why the show has allowed women, who have performed similarly in the past (Britney Spears, Madonna, Janet Jackson), were still allowed to perform.

Do the GMA producers just not trust Lambert to contain himself? Are they afraid of a similar performance to the GMA audience?

In Popwired’s opinion, Lambert knew what he was doing when he created the biggest publicity stunt of all time; all it took was a gay kiss and simulated oral sex.

We think he’s great, we just don’t agree with the fake blowjob on national tv. It’s tasteless when straight people do it and we definitely think it’s classless of the LGBT community to defend him. Gay kiss? Not a prob. Thrusting what looks like an over-bleached rag doll into ones crotch, that’s definitely something to consider inappropriate.

Of course, our Facebook friend Jay Hunter had this to say about Lambert:

“I think he is a horrible representation of the LBGT community! The clothes, the make-up, the performance… all over the top. Not to mention… he’s just an okay singer… definitely not as great as he thinks he is! Definitely a disappointment/hot tranny mess.”

Should Lambert’s outfit even be part of the debate? If Lady Gaga has the right to wear a bird’s nest as an outfit we’ll be damned if they stop Lambert from wearing a drag queen dress — just saying.

Looks like Levi Johnston won’t have a place to take his nude pics this week after a up-scale hotel turned down Playgirl, Gawker reports.

A story ran on NY’s Page Six claiming that the magazine’s “offer was well below the current rental rate” and that “they were politely declined” by an anonymous hotel rep. Rumor has it that Playgirl wanted a penthouse setting because they wanted the shoot to be more “elegant,” after all, it is Levi Johnston.

How much more “elegant” can a porno get?

Dallas Voice editor Tammye Nash voiced her concerns on the Instant Tea blog over Pastor Joey Faust’s militant’s comment over a LGBT protest in Fort Worth, Texas. The militants are from the Kingdom Baptist Church in Venus, Texas.

“God will not be mocked…and He will never except homosexuals haveing special right which are against natural law and fly in the face of His commandments. Homosexuality is a DEATH PENALTY SIN and we must pack the City Council on Tuesday November 10 to STOP THIS ABBOMINATION!!”

Apparently the Westboro Baptist Church was not in favor of a satire that we published yesterday evening, which thanked Fred Phelps for his commitment to being an asshole, which in turn united a major part of the gay and straight community.

Fred Phelps, Westboro Baptist Church, “God hates fags” – all terms that warm my heart and make me one happy dyke.

Confused much?  Don’t be.  We gays and hetero-allies should all line up to give Fred Phelps a big faggotty kiss right on the mouth.  Who else but Phelps would allow himself to be such a public figure famous for his ignorance and hatred just to make the LGBT community look good?  Aw shucks, Freddie.  At the thought of how grateful I am to you, I just blushed a little.

It’s true.  Fred Phelps may just be a savior (pun intended) to the gays.  Phelps’s extremely public congregation of  Westboro Baptist Church has become famous for selfless acts such as picketing military funerals and teaching their children the word “fag” before they can even wear big girl/big boy panties.  These congregation members are truly willing to present themselves as the scum of the earth just to serve as a mirror to those individuals in the heterosexual community who have not exactly been accepting of the homosexual lifestyle.

This metaphorical mirror, that has been turned in the direction of conservatives and such, is quite possibly beginning to reveal to them that the obvious hatred of the WBC might not be so different from their own.  Besides, I can only imagine how un-fabulous that mirror is.  It’s not cute unless the gays designed it.

In addition to the proverbial un-fabulous mirror, Mr. Phelps has built a career on extreme negativity towards countless groups.  This has in turn caused some to view the homosexual community as a group that has historically been oppressed, but should be considered an equal part of society.  Phelps and his Christian-bots have been accused of being anti-Ireland, anti-Catholicism, anti-Swedish, anti-Semitic, and now I’m tired of typing the prefix “anti”, but you get the picture.  Oh, and did I mention that Phelps himself could be referred to as anti-his own children?

Yes, his two sons Mark and Nate have accused him of abusive behavior such as beating the two with a leather strap.

Did someone say “leather strap”?  Is it possible that old man Phelps is a leather daddy?

In sum, Fred Phelps has established a reputation as a disrespectful, extremely hateful, negative, irreverent, child-abusing bigot.  Good thing I’m not God because I would be extremely insulted at the fact that he was doing all this for my glory.  On the flip side, I feel extremely flattered that he would put me on his hit list.  In some twisted way, he is my ally and deserves my thanks for being such a stark raving idiot.  Keep on doing your thing, Freddie.  You just keep making me look better and better.

There’s some beefy shit going on between supermodels Tyra Banks and Paulina Porizkova.

Porizkova recently got fired from being a judge on America’s Next Top Model — after what, two seasons? — and went out to talk to Access Hollywood and the Billy Bush Show:

The media war is brewing as ‘Sordid Lives’ writer Del Shores goes public with his financial crisis and attacks the LOGO television network for all their wrongdoing. Shores announced Monday to his facebook fan club that the production of Season 2 of ‘Sordid Lives: The Series’ will be at a standstill because LOGO failed to pay.

Fans and supporters of ‘Sordid Lives’ reacted negatively to the news and began a boycott of LOGO. A facebook group has reportedly been set-up with email addresses — some personal — of the executives in charge at LOGO, asking supporters to persuade the network to pay up so that Shores can continue on with Season 2.

Shores published a letter Tuesday which goes into details about his relationship with LOGO and his financial situation. Shores says his home has gone into foreclosure and the producers still refused to pay his residuals.

Shores credits his husband Jason Dottley (pictured, far left) for getting him through a difficult period: “I live daily with gratitude. Jason told me it would be okay and suggest that I start teaching and to get back on stage to tell my stories. I did and it saved me.”

We obtained the letter which reads:

I’m tired of being told to be silent. You all deserve to know the truth about why “Sordid Lives: The Series” is not going forward into Season 2.

First of all, I want you all to know that this has been an amazing experience for me, for the cast. We love each other, we love working together. AND WE LOVE OUR FANS.

When the show premiered July 23rd, according to the executives and marketing team at LOGO, “SLTS” was in a league of its own. We were told that it was off the charts for them. That it was 20 times bigger than any show they had ever aired. I brought them stars and beloved characters and they got mainstream press — TV Guide, People Magazine, Regis & Kelly, Conan, Today Show (3 times), New York Times, Star, LA Times, Associated Press…. RAVE REVIEWS across the board! Whoopi Goldberg even called me personally and told me that she wanted me to write her into Season 2. I did!

Viewers were changing their cable companies (Direct TV, you owe me money!) LOGO was in more households than ever. Not just gay. We had crossed over! We were flying high and destined to many seasons to come! I took a big risk and it paid off.

See, usually, when you bring a network a hit, you are rewarded! And we were. LOGO ordered the 2nd season 2 weeks after we premiered. BUT, LOGO doesn’t own the show. Our production company owns the series. In fact, there are three financial partners. LOGO, our production company and IMG International, who is our foreign distributor. LOGO ordered the show CONTINGENT on the other partners also ordering the show. IMG did not. They were still selling the show — and still are. They seem to be doing very well — France, Germany, Austria, Israel, Canada, Sweden and more in the wings — so they could still come in.

But a bigger problem arose. The 12 episodes have now aired 262 times collectively (in America alone). Each time SLTS airs, the writer, director and actors are to receive compensation — residuals. The production company is the signatory with all the Guilds, meaning they have agreed to pay the residuals. To this date, WE HAVE BEEN PAID NOTHING! I wrote and directed all twelve episodes and am personally owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. I have been paid nothing! I took a huge pay cut to do this show. I made less money in four years working on SLTS than I made in one season on “Queer As Folk”. The actors, who worked for minimums or slightly above, have also BEEN PAID NOTHING. The Guilds have stepped in, but these claims takes months.

Actors have lost health insurance and okay, now I’m going to really get honest and bare all. I worked exclusively on “Sordid Lives: The Series” for over four years. I was contractually bound to the show and turned down many opportunities — because I was doing what I loved — writing, creating, directing my own show, with amazing creative control (thank you LOGO). It was my choice and my extreme pleasure. But I took a hit. A big hit. It was a gamble. A risk. I thought I had won.

In January, our home went into foreclosure — and yes, the producers knew about my financial situation — still refused to pay me my residuals which would have saved the house and a lot of stress. I informed the executives of LOGO, hoping they would at least step in and pay me for the scripts of Season Two (which I had written). No response from the network.

Thank G-d for friends. Thank G-d for C.R., for N.A and R.A, for B.B. For Jason’s amazing family, for my kids, my ex-wife — and for the support of you, my friends and fans. You have no idea how much strength you gave me… make that — give me.

It was a crazy time. It still is.

But you know, I learned so much. I learned that things are things — and health, family, friends, and my adoring fans, are important. I am loved and I’ve had a good ride. I’m lucky and I am BLESSED.

I live daily with gratitude. Jason told me it would be okay and suggest that I start teaching and to get back on stage to tell my stories. I did and it saved me.

Yet, I was still fighting for “Sordid Lives: The Series”. I even tried to buy the show back from the producer — knowing, I could put together the money.

But negotiations came to a screeching stop. The price was too high. We reached an impasse — and now, I have a glimmer of hope — but yes, it has faded.

And as much as I love my friends at LOGO, it did sting when they picked up a second run (reruns) of “The Sarah Silverman Program” for more money per episode than they paid for SLTS. That money could have saved our show. And no disrespect to Ms. Silverman. I LOVE her show, but that’s not the point. My interpretation — “Sordid Lives: The Series” was just simply not that important for LOGO to save.

So, I must move on. I have other stories to tell. I want to see “Southern Baptist Sissies” on the big screen. I know the effect of the play. The healing. The salvation. {Anybody with a couple of mil want to make a difference, be a movie producer? :-) } I have other plays in me, other TV shows. Caroline Rhea, Leslie Jordan and I will bring our “A-Sordid Affair Comedy Tour” to you very soon. It’s all good.

But I do have more “Sordid Lives” in me… the 2nd season was written before it all went down. I own the stage rights and the publishing — so someday, someway, you’ll know how Noleta fares in the looney bin, where Brother Boy winds up… what happens to Ty and Jacob, to Latrelle, Wilson and Tomeka. You’ll know if Sissy gets out of jail. And who set the fire at Bubba’s? And how dear LaVonda works her magic on the masses! And how “Juanita” has at least has one clear moment.

I love you all — and if I get in trouble — I better have some lawyer fan (hopefully really cute) who will save my ass.

Kim Kardashian is pissed ya’ll! Kim recently went on her official blog and made a post entitled “Octomom Has a Shopping Problem” where  she decided to blow off some steam at Octo-Mom for applying for welfare and food stamps. She took some jabs at her for complaining about not having money, but yet she has money for buying expensive articles of clothing.

“Why is Octomom wearing my Jimmy Choo sunglasses!? I think it’s a little ridiculous that she claims she has no money and is on welfare to take care of her 14 children, yet she is out shopping and buying Jimmy Choo sunglasses” said Kardashian in a hostile voice regarding the woman who treated her vagina like an under-sized, wide-set clown car.

“I guess she’d rather spend her octo-dollars on accessories. Aren’t 14 accessories enough, Octomom?? Am I sensing a shopping addiction here? Khloe and Kourtney can hook you up with someone who can help you battle this!”

I guess Kim is just jealous that Octo-Mom scored the Jimmy Choo sunglasses that she wanted, or maybe she’s just on the rag.

Iguess home girl likes it rough. Dumb and dumber are reunited three weeks after Brown allegedly beat Rihanna, according to People.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” the source tells the tabloid. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes, on Miami Beach’s Star Island.

Apparently Brown is really upset at what he did, but is happy again now that he’s back with the woman that he can continue to use as a punching bag.

In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. “He called to wish her happy birthday,” a source told the magazine. “They’ve reached out to each other. It’s been mutual.”

Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

The statement from Rihanna’s rep says:

“At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown. She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.”

TMZ obtained the horrific beating-photo of Rihanna that took place two weeks ago, allegedly assaulted by former boyfriend, Chris Brown. Now the Los Angeles Police Department is pissed as fuck. The photo released was unauthorized and generated an internal investigation.

LAPD made a press statement regarding the photo:

“At about 7 p.m. on February 19, 2009, the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section began receiving numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown. The photograph appeared on an entertainment website. The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence.
The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint.

A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”

They are worried about “serious misconduct”? It’s about time we got some sort of confirmation regarding this incident. How about keeping that gangsta, Chris Brown, in jail instead of worrying about the release of the photo? He’s roaming freely beating up other woman in his hometown.

According to sources, Rihanna has been cooperating with the cops’ investigation, in which she told them that he threatened to kill her after she threw his car keys out the window. He strangled her until she lost consciousness and when she came to, he was gone. Someone nearby who heard her screaming called 911. The cops took her immediately to the hospital, rather than waiting for an ambulance, where she was treated and officers took photographs of her injuries for the investigation.

Rihanna’s grandmother assured the press that Riri is doing fine, though she canceled her show in Jakarta this week. Chris has been dropped from the Valentine’s Day party he was supposed to host this weekend, and his songs are being pulled off radio stations in different cities.

Rihanna has blamed her no-show at the Grammy Awards on a traffic mishap, according to reports. The Umbrella hitmaker was due to perform at the annual awards show in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

But she canceled after her R&B singer boyfriend Chris Brown was arrested over an alleged domestic violence felony battery.

Brown, 19, was booked for making criminal threats and freed on $50,000 bail after Los Angeles cops received a 911 call in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It followed an incident in which Brown and an unidentified woman were involved in a heated row in a vehicle in Los Angeles following music mogul Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards party on Saturday. Numerous sources including the LA Times names Rihanna as the unidentified woman.

Girl, if this man is beating ya you better learn to speak up for yourself! Rihanna and Chris Brown also made headlines back in December ‘09, after a $1 million lawsuit surfaced against the two for beating up a photographer.

Okay, not really, but that’s the way it happened in my head. Phelps is extremely sorry for his wrongdoing according to a report from CNN.

“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” the record-setting American athlete said in a statement issued Sunday.

“I’m 23 years old, and despite the successes I have had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me,” Phelps said. “For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public — it will not happen again.”

Ironically, the Olympic swimmer is one of 12 Olympic athletes that have pledged to “My Victory,” an initiative launched last year by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency to keep competitive sports clean of cheating and drug use.

Winters received a message from a rep of Banks’ after the rep saw his gay photos on myspace and wanted to talk to him about the possibility of using him for her show.

Luis Santana, 25, was left battered and bruised after being attacked as he tried to take photographs outside a nightclub in St Petersburg, Florida, where he was working for a local newspaper. Santana claims his $3,000 camera was stolen and then smashed. He is also suing three bodyguards and the nightclub.

Reason for Filing
“Bradley LaShawn Fowler, 39, is seeking $60 million from Zondervan, based in Cascade Township, and $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing in the lawsuits filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Fowler filed the suit against Zondervan on Monday, the same day U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook Jr. refused to appoint an attorney to represent him in his case against Thomas Nelson, a Tennessee publisher.

Fowler filed a suit against Thomas Nelson in June. He is representing himself in both claims.

“The Court has some very genuine concerns about the nature and efficacy of these claims,” the judge wrote.

Fowler alleges Zondervan’s Bibles referring to homosexuality as a sin have made him an outcast from his family and contributed to physical discomfort and periods of “demoralization, chaos and bewilderment.” (source}

This doctor needs to learn to shut his trap and keep stuff to him”self”. How can you respectively mention test tube babies and create an analogy of that to a homosexual? Weren’t test tube babies here before Adam met Steve? Geez, this man is an idiot and he needs to be dick slapped.

The interview is really long to post here, but in summary he starts to talk about the secular research of the last 60 years saying that Johnny and Jane need a mom and a dad. “They need mentors, they need adult role models of both genders in order to become the person they want to be.”

“You see, the real — the real agenda here, Brian, is to make gender something that people choose, as opposed to something that they are born with and develop. And it’s amazing, they want to claim a civil right for what they call natural, but at the same time, they’re spending enormous amounts of energy recruiting, causing adolescents and young adults to question whether or not they may be of a particular gender”, said Dr. Self.

“Shame on you! Gay Asian Shame!” is a very deliberate and hateful phrase here kids. Seriously, he’s a hard working guy, with a good relationship, a full-time University student, a full time web-designer, and still has enough time in the day to create the kick-ass site you see here. The self proclaimed ‘PRINCESS GOMOLVILAS’, when not chugging down boba drinks, loves to make fun use of the word “gay”. I love calling myself my man’s bitch every now and then, but isn’t this a little too far?

The Princess has been causing roars of controversy on some recent articles of his like, “How Gay Is High School Musical?” and “High School Musical 2: Chock Full of Gay.”

As fun as it may be to think of Zac Efron ‘chock full of gay’ I had to say this guy is an idiot. Smart, but an idiot.

The blogger is already taking bids from blogs and news site to guest post an article titled “High School Musical 3: Gay Gay Gay Gay Gaaaaaaaaaay,” which he says “will surely rank up there with the rest of his controversial piece.

At first glance this guy may seem anti-gay, but then I started reading deeper into his post. He states to all his ‘Tweens’ to not get pissy at his post and adds “I love High School Musical as much as you do! I have the Zac Efron calendar to prove it!”

Hmm… I really don’ t know what else to say – Gay much?

Apparently you can’t be gay and be associated with a religion, or at least of Christian Anglican, according to Reverend Richard Lane of St Stephen’s Church in Bellevue Hill.

Lanes attack came after an exchange of letters between him and the judge during a forum organised by St James Institute on Tuesday night to encourage a “public conversation” about religious tolerance and homosexuality.

Lane bash the openly gay Judge by saying that it is a “perversion of truth” to be a gay Christian, which he believes will ultimately label him as a “coward, a liar, a deceiver” and a “lawless one”.

“I appeal to you to cast yourself on the mercy of Jesus … That is admit your sin, confess your wrongdoing and turn in humble repentance to the Lord Jesus, who alone can forgive you,” Mr Lane said.
