The official opening of Rio Carnival may be three days off, but Beyonce and Alicia Keys got the party started early as they took to the streets to film a new music video.

A massive crew of cameraman, lighting techs, and backup dancers took to the streets in a sparkling display that some say will rival the actual festivities of Rio Carnival. Beyonce can be seen shaking on a disused bus, while Alicia Keys had all eyes on her while they taped her rooftop scene.

The pair are currently filming a clip for their duet ‘Put It In A Love Song,’ which features on Alicia’s recently released album, The Element Of Freedom.

Alicia recently told MTV, “Her and I together was like re-united sisters. Most people get in the studio and don’t get a chance to really collaborate but we were in one room having a ball. ‘The energy was incredible.”

Alicia also said she’s keen for more collaborations.

Okay Twilight fans, get ready to cream your pants — well this post is mostly aimed at members of Team Jacob.

Sexy werewolf-man-thing Taylor Lautner is set to host Saturday Night Live on December 12th, with musical guest Bon Jovi, not that anybody cares about the musical guest.

Everyone is too distracted by Mr.Lautner’s shirtless-ness anyways, I know I am.

‘New Moon’ left audiences across the nation with their jaws-dropped this past weekend as it made history as the 3rd biggest weekend opener ever, grossing an astounding $140.7 million at the box office.

Buff Bodies Blind ‘New Moon’

As successful and publicized as the movie was, it leaves me to wonder whether the success of ‘New Moon’ was due to the great story behind the series, or was it the bare-chested men that roamed the screen in 3/4th of the movie?

The second installment in the Twilight Saga manages to portray the love between Bella and Edward in a more artistic way. At first I, like other twilight watchers, had doubts about ‘New Moon.’

Towards opening night, I found myself unable to beat the hardcore crowd that caused theaters nationwide to sell out of tickets for the Friday midnight showing.

I joined the obsessive teenagers who decided to skip school on Friday to drool over Jacob’s (Taylor Lautner) incredibly new buff body. Little did I know ‘New Moon’ did have a plot after all. The way I saw it anyways.

While ‘New Moon’ left audiences acknowledging the apparent improvement over Twilight since the first scene, the theater experience was tainted by the hormonal teenagers that had an orgasm each time Edward or Jacob exposed their bare chests.

A girl sitting two rows behind me kept moaning each time Jacob showed off his jailbait guns.

Unfortunately, the audience was unable to see past the “perfection” of the characters, which they confuse for being traits of the actors, and are blind to appreciate the movie’s depiction of the beginning stages of love and the obstacles lovers must face in order to find happiness.

If you’ve read the books, you will appreciate their artistic connection with the movie.

For those who haven’t, it will be difficult to understand the desperation Bella and Edward faces as they keep their love alive.

Fans were extremely grateful that director Chris Weitz replaced Catherine Hardwicke.

The acting has improved by a long shot, although Kristen Stewart continues to make her sexual facial expressions each time she gets close to male testosterone.

Also, not to mention the fact that every time Edward speaks to Bella he sound like he’s having a constant erection.

In the end, society’s distortion that we must strive for perfection will hinder the audience’s ability to see past the beauty of the actors, shamefully leaving the artistic splendor of the film in a state of oblivion.

Not all the teeny boppers were body-obsessed that night though as Melvin Varughese tells me, “I think the twilight series is a different take on popular beliefs and it’s just something I enjoy.”

Doom spelled dollars at the box office as the global-disaster tale “2012″ opened at No. 1 domestically with $65 million and pulled in $225 million worldwide, the AP reports.

You all know the story of crazy people conspiring that the world is going to end in 2012 simply because the Mayan’s cycle of patterns and calendar went haywire somehow. Sony Pictures’ created their own action-filled version of the story and needless to say the movie was pretty good in general.

There were some part of the movie, however, that looks like the cameraman got lazy on the boom and just shook the camera around a little in front of the green screen.

My friends and I also came to the conclusion that we are all probably going to end up in hell. As the city was sinking and families were being separated, all of our attention was all focused on the prettiest man in the movie, Johann Urb, who played Sasha the Russian pilot. You can obviously tell in the picture above why we were so keen on him.

Just imagine us when the real Apocalypse does happen — everyone will be screaming and asking God for mercy, and then there will be my little gang checking out the sexy horsemen.

Overseas, “2012″ did $17.2 million in France, $15.3 million in Russia, $9.9 million in South Korea and $8.1 million in Spain.

Surprisingly, Disney’s A Christmas Carol rank in No. 2, beating Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push” by Sapphire which rank No. 4 in the box office’s top 10.

In the world full of weirdos and creeps Lady Gaga unleashed her new music video ‘Bad Romance’ yesterday while my internet was down.

Apparently it’s all the rage around the net, but I’m still not quite grasping what makes this video so amazing. I love the song and all, but those little white things that look like sperm popping out from the coffin-box just isn’t working for me.

AND check out the pic above in the far left corner… tell me, please tell me that Lady Gaga doesn’t look like a non-drugged up version of Amy Winehouse to you. I dare you!

‘Paranormal Activity‘ is without a doubt the scariest movie I’ve seen to date. It puts ‘Quarantine’ and M. Night Shyamalan’s tree-killer ‘The Happening’ to shame.

I know I get easily scared during horror flicks, but this was just insane! I swear to God my butt had like incredible reflexes because I was hopping up in the air at least 80 percent of the time during the movie — no hands involved, just butt-crunching scary!

With that being said, this weekend you all need to go catch this movie if horror movie  is your thing. Plus there is a really cute guy by the name of Micah Sloat in the movie.

As you may or may not know, I have been working in Los Angeles creating reality TV shows for the past few years. My first show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, currently in season 2 in Bravo, has been a huge hit and was a lot of fun to create, cast, and sell. For that, I reached out to my Atlanta connections and now I’m looking toward my New York crew for leads on a new project!

I’m looking for the hottest young, fabulous gay men NYC has to offer for an upcoming docu-series. These boys need to be living the good life, keeping up with all the hottest shopping, restaurants, and clubs, and preferably have lots of drama keeping them busy at all hours of the day…and night. After an amazing ending to the second season of ‘Gossip Girl,’ I am highly anticipating what they have coming in the fall and by the look of these photos, it looks like college has started and both the girls wardrobe are in simplicity mode. I also can’t wait to see what Chace Crawford will be wearing, or not wearing,  in the coming season.

The finalist from X Factor boyband were promoting their debut single ‘Beat Again’ on Chris Moyles Breakfast Show.

Jack the Lad Swing are a British boyband, who were runners-up in the fifth series of ITV reality talent show The X Factor in 2008, coming second to Alexandra Burke. The group consists of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan “JB” Gill, and Oritsé Williams.

Following their success on The X Factor, JLS signed to Epic Records, and won a support slot on Lemar’s 2009 Spring tour. Ne-Yo also reportedly expressed interest in support from the band for his 2009 UK Summer tour.

In the spring of 2008, Frank Anthony Polito released Band Fags! to the general public, hoping to find the niche of others who had navigated the horrors of high school in the eighties. What he didn’t expect was the surge in popularity among the high school-aged youth of today. It appeared that the high school experience, with all its trauma and angst, was easily understood no matter what era, and the plight of Jack Paterno, who sought to be true to himself and to be popular, struck a chord with audiences of all ages.

Now, approximately a year later, Polito has published Drama Queers, a follow-up of sorts to his debut novel. This time, Brad Dayton is the main character, a promotion from his position as Jack’s sidekick in the first novel. With a change in character comes a change in focus, and where Band Fags! was very much a story of coming to terms with identity and coming out, Drama Queers finds itself more concerned with the general experience of being a teenager, as Brad makes very clear early on that he is gay.

The style is relatively similar to Band Fags!, though flashbacks feature prominently, mostly to catch readers up on what had happened either in the previous book, and to also help with some basic character development. These moments are ultimately very helpful, though at times they seem to come across as rather abrupt.

The humor that pervaded Band Fags! is also present in Polito’s latest novel, though it is not as decidedly cynical, but more light-hearted and occasionally sarcastic in tone. References to the eighties also pepper the text, which help to provide a source of nostalgia for some, and humor for others (such as when Brad laments the exorbitant cost of 85 cents for a pack of cigarettes).

Brad’s romantic life has its own twists and turns, from unrequited crushes to the confusing “does he or doesn’t he” surrounding a new classmate. Polito carries out these relationships, and their respective interactions in such a way that they don’t seem to be caricatures or overblown; there is something rather natural about them.

Overall, Frank Anthony Polito sought to repeat the appeal and success of Band Fags!, and it would seem quite possible that he has done it. The characters are engaging, the plot moves at a reasonable pace, and it’s difficult to put down once you’ve started.

Youtube user Pruane2Forever, aka the Sexman, apparently built up a name for himself by doing comic reviews, drawing in millions of viewers. In one of his videos he criticized rapper 50 Cent for his professional work. He wonders how 50 still has “street cred” after doing endorsements for Vitamin Water, makeup and dildos. “What else is he gonna do? 50 Cent diapers for your little gangsta?,” asked Sexman.

50 Cent’s PR got a hold of the kid and flew him over from good ol’ Canada to New York at the rapper’s request. The two then makes a little Youtube video together and the kid looks scared shitless — like he doesn’t know if he’s going to get stuffed in a trunk of a Cadillac.

Kristine W’s high energy music, soulful vocals, and live shows have been prominent features at gay clubs and pride events ever since her first worldwide hit “Feel What You Want.” While preparing for performances at an HRC Gala Dinner and HIV/AIDS fundraiser Broadway Bares, Kristine spoke with us about her acclaimed new album, “The Power of Music.”

With 13 No. 1 Billboard Dance hits, you have become one of the top 5 dance artists along with Madonna, Janet Jackson, Donna Summer, and Mariah Carey. All have a strong gay fan base. When did you first become aware of your gay following?
Kristine W – I first found out I was a gay icon when I flew from the UK to NYC and performed for a party being DJ’d by Junior Vasquez. I walked onto the stage in front of a few thousand hot, shirtless men and thought, “Wow, I have died and gone to heaven.” Then I quickly figured out none of them were interested in anything other than my voice (Kristine laughs)!! I have been in love with gay audiences ever since.

The new CD features your 4 most recent No. 1’s, “Walk Away,” “Never,” “Love is the Look,” and your remake of Diana Ross’ classic “The Boss.” Since you write many of your songs, including winning an ASCAP Award for co-writing “One More Try,” how did you decide to take on Miss Ross and make “The Boss” and “I’m Coming Out”(a bonus iTunes track) your own?
Kristine W – My idols growing up in Washington state were Donna Summer and Diana Ross. I just loved them and was always singing their songs and studying them. When I decided to start my own record label in January of 2008, I knew “The Boss” would be the perfect first single to put out. I was taking control – being “The Boss” of my music, sink or swim – and I put all I had into that single and those remixes. It was so well received globally that I was really a bit taken back by it.

In addition to the singles, you independently released “The Power of Music,” and it’s already a Top Five Dance Album on iTunes its first week out. What were the biggest challenges building your own label and being both businesswoman and artist?
Kristine W – The big challenges are always the same: time and money.

Like Diana, there are quite a few Kristine W drag queens. Who are your favorite drag performers?
Kristine W – That is why I featured Crystal Woods in “The Boss” video. I just wanted to pay homage to Crystal and those like her that bring so much joy to us all with their performances. I have so many favorites and there are so many talented drag queens across the US that the list would be a mile long. I have so much respect for drag queens because it is so demanding if you are a true artisan. RuPaul is the godfather, of course, and always amazes me, Chad Michaels (Cher) in San Diego, who is a friend and confidant, Crystal Wood (Miss Ross) in Las Vegas, and Laritza Dumont in Orlando. I make a point to watch them when I can because they inspire me.

Speaking of videos, the video for “Walk Away” is pretty hot, including the hunky male model. Did you cast him personally or did famed gay director/photographer Mike Ruiz find him?
Kristine W – Mike Ruiz found Matus Valent, and yes, he is a gorgeous man. We actually still keep in touch.

How do you like making videos compared to recording?
Kristine W – Videos are very demanding and time consuming. Honestly, I don’t really enjoy doing them but they are a necessity and a time capsule for the music. They are a lot more work then anyone knows and usually very unglamorous.
Did fighting leukemia earlier this decade and having friends with HIV/AIDS impact the themes of your songs and the many causes you support and actively promote in your blog?
Kristine W – Having battled leukemia for a few years, I understand what people with AIDS go through, waiting for your blood counts, hoping that you will stay healthy and not go backwards. AIDS and diseases of all kinds are an ongoing uphill battle for humanity. I am always humbled by how fragile life really is, and yes, it is always a part of my music.

Your new single, “Be Alright,” is an uplifting summer song, and the overall album is a great antidote to the current state of the world. How did “Be Alright” come about?
Kristine W – I actually wrote “Be Alright” four years ago with my guitar player Tommy Cameron while I was getting better and trying to stay in remission from leukemia. My grandfather died a few months after I got out of the hospital, and I was able to see him and spend time with him before he passed. I wrote the first verse after his funeral, and I was really missing him. He was failing while I was at the UCLA hospital. A huge fear of mine was that he would die before I got back to Washington to see him. I never told him I had leukemia and told everyone else not say anything. He was too frail and that would have put him over the edge. I would call him from UCLA and tell him I was fine, and I was actually terrified. That is the only time I ever lied to him. We were very tight, and I always wondered if he knew but didn’t say anything.

“Be Alright” features dance mixes by Hex Hextor, Offer Nissim, the Perry Twins, and more, including exclusive remixes on Masterbeat. Your songs are remixed by the top dance producers and DJ’s in the business. Are you ever surprised by the results?
Kristine W – I am always surprised by remixes, and that is why I love them so much. It is so fun to write a song and then hand it over to someone and have them bring their own interpretation. I am currently in love with the Perry Twins’ “Los Angels and Demons” mix of “Be Alright.” That mix is so full of emotion and takes me on a journey.

Your landmark show at the Hilton Las Vegas led to several “Entertainer of the Year” awards and even “Kristine W Day” on June 28th in Nevada. You just performed again in Vegas at the Miss USA pageant. As a former winner of the Miss America talent competition, did performing during this year’s Miss USA show bring back any crazy beauty queen memories?
Kristine W – Oh, yes!! I immediately remembered how cutthroat the pageant world is but that is life. It is a good but painful education.

What do your two young kids think when they see Mom turn into the larger than life performer you become on stage – singing live, playing instruments, wearing outrageous costumes, surrounded by a team of dancers?
Kristine W – They always ask when I am going to turn into Kristine W again. I am like Wonder Woman to them. One minute I am driving them to school, the next minute I am driving an audience crazy. I love it!! I am a true Gemini.

Taylor Lautner ruled the stage Sunday evening — that is, for the muscle worshipers — during the opening of the 2009 ‘MTV Movie Awards.’ The sexy wolf-man alongside cast mates premiered the first official trailer for Twilight’s ‘New Moon’ in which a shirtless scene of Lautner (Jacob) brought roars of climax amongst the audience.

The “2009 MTV Movie Awards” proved to be a comedy-filled night as host Andy Samberg welcomed a variety of his celebrity friends including Justin Timberlake and Will Ferrell to collaborate on ingenious short films and controversial and unexpected moments. This year, viewers truly took matters into their own hands, led by fans of Twilight, who banded together throughout the voting period to put their favorite film into its rightful place in Movie Awards history. The film took home five golden popcorn statues and received a huge majority of the record breaking votes submitted this year online and via text message.

Twilight dominated the ceremony, taking home the top honors for “Best Movie” at the conclusion of the night. Robert Pattinson won three statues for “Breakthrough Performance Male,” “Best Kiss” with co-star Kristen Stewart and “Best Fight” with Cam Gigandet.

Jamie Foxx and his crew went mad shit crazy on their weekly radio talk show, ‘The Foxxhole,’ in which they attacked 16-year-old Miley Cyrus.

He advised the Hannah Montana star to “make a sex tape and grow up” before telling her to get a gum transplant, adding: “Do some heroin… get some crack in your pipe.”

But Foxx has now apologized to Cyrus for making the remarks, telling U.S. chat show host Jay Leno it was simply meant in a humorous way.

He says, “There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologise for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously. You know I’m a comedian. You know my heart. Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand.”

Okay, now here’s what I think: BULL SHIT! He probably beats his daughter as badly as he can talk shit to a 16-year-old girl. Who else think Foxx has a lot of growing up to do?

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper apparently knows a thing or two about teabagging. In fact, he seems a little more knowledgeable in it than most of the gay folks.

On last night’s show Cooper yelled “teabagging, they got teabagging” during their typical boring ass political rambling. Then Cooper goes on to say “it’s hard to talk when you’re teabagging” and then of course, David Gergen laughed like Hugaert.

Interrupting a phone call with renowned therapist Dr. Jenn Berman, we scored a one-on-one interview with the self-proclaimed “Hot Mess,” Amber Deylon, from Oxygen’s Pretty Wicked.

This new hit reality show fools 10 young women into thinking they are competing to become Hollywood’s next IT girl, and after the girls flaunt about why they are the best for the position, it is revealed they are there instead to improve their “wicked” ways with personality makeovers.

“Pretty Wicked taught me a lot about who I was and who I want to become,” Amber says, “and with the help of Dr. Jenn and the other girls, I’m more aware of others and their feelings.”

If you missed last night’s episode, Amber openly tells her roommates that she is bisexual, feeling she is placed on the show because of numerous sugar-mamas and sugar-daddies. Classy thing to admit, I must say.

Feeling a definite shock-factor from the other girls, Amber proclaims her sexual orientation is not important.

“I don’t feel the need to say hi, my name is Amber, I’m 23, and bisexual… You just don’t do that.”

Although she’s been open about her sexuality the majority of her life, broadcasting it on national television has sky-rocketed Amber into the public eye, earning fan mail from all over the country asking her for advice on how to come out to friends and family.

“I don’t want to be defined by my sexuality…I want to be a leader. A voice.”

By getting her name out there, Amber hopes to break down all stereotypes that are ignorantly placed on the GLBT community.

“Now that I am out to my television audience, I want to continue what I have always done which is speaking up for gay rights, the reversal of Proposition 8, and the acceptance of gays,” Amber said. “I want to help our community so that the next generation can live peacefully, however they wish, with whomever they wish.”

Amber is an aspiring television host with influences like Ellen and Ryan Seacrest. Also, with her company ADD Productions, Amber is working on several projects aimed specifically towards the GLBT community. You’re sure to see more of Amber D in the near future.

The media war is brewing as ‘Sordid Lives’ writer Del Shores goes public with his financial crisis and attacks the LOGO television network for all their wrongdoing. Shores announced Monday to his facebook fan club that the production of Season 2 of ‘Sordid Lives: The Series’ will be at a standstill because LOGO failed to pay.

Fans and supporters of ‘Sordid Lives’ reacted negatively to the news and began a boycott of LOGO. A facebook group has reportedly been set-up with email addresses — some personal — of the executives in charge at LOGO, asking supporters to persuade the network to pay up so that Shores can continue on with Season 2.

Shores published a letter Tuesday which goes into details about his relationship with LOGO and his financial situation. Shores says his home has gone into foreclosure and the producers still refused to pay his residuals.

Shores credits his husband Jason Dottley (pictured, far left) for getting him through a difficult period: “I live daily with gratitude. Jason told me it would be okay and suggest that I start teaching and to get back on stage to tell my stories. I did and it saved me.”

We obtained the letter which reads:

I’m tired of being told to be silent. You all deserve to know the truth about why “Sordid Lives: The Series” is not going forward into Season 2.

First of all, I want you all to know that this has been an amazing experience for me, for the cast. We love each other, we love working together. AND WE LOVE OUR FANS.

When the show premiered July 23rd, according to the executives and marketing team at LOGO, “SLTS” was in a league of its own. We were told that it was off the charts for them. That it was 20 times bigger than any show they had ever aired. I brought them stars and beloved characters and they got mainstream press — TV Guide, People Magazine, Regis & Kelly, Conan, Today Show (3 times), New York Times, Star, LA Times, Associated Press…. RAVE REVIEWS across the board! Whoopi Goldberg even called me personally and told me that she wanted me to write her into Season 2. I did!

Viewers were changing their cable companies (Direct TV, you owe me money!) LOGO was in more households than ever. Not just gay. We had crossed over! We were flying high and destined to many seasons to come! I took a big risk and it paid off.

See, usually, when you bring a network a hit, you are rewarded! And we were. LOGO ordered the 2nd season 2 weeks after we premiered. BUT, LOGO doesn’t own the show. Our production company owns the series. In fact, there are three financial partners. LOGO, our production company and IMG International, who is our foreign distributor. LOGO ordered the show CONTINGENT on the other partners also ordering the show. IMG did not. They were still selling the show — and still are. They seem to be doing very well — France, Germany, Austria, Israel, Canada, Sweden and more in the wings — so they could still come in.

But a bigger problem arose. The 12 episodes have now aired 262 times collectively (in America alone). Each time SLTS airs, the writer, director and actors are to receive compensation — residuals. The production company is the signatory with all the Guilds, meaning they have agreed to pay the residuals. To this date, WE HAVE BEEN PAID NOTHING! I wrote and directed all twelve episodes and am personally owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. I have been paid nothing! I took a huge pay cut to do this show. I made less money in four years working on SLTS than I made in one season on “Queer As Folk”. The actors, who worked for minimums or slightly above, have also BEEN PAID NOTHING. The Guilds have stepped in, but these claims takes months.

Actors have lost health insurance and okay, now I’m going to really get honest and bare all. I worked exclusively on “Sordid Lives: The Series” for over four years. I was contractually bound to the show and turned down many opportunities — because I was doing what I loved — writing, creating, directing my own show, with amazing creative control (thank you LOGO). It was my choice and my extreme pleasure. But I took a hit. A big hit. It was a gamble. A risk. I thought I had won.

In January, our home went into foreclosure — and yes, the producers knew about my financial situation — still refused to pay me my residuals which would have saved the house and a lot of stress. I informed the executives of LOGO, hoping they would at least step in and pay me for the scripts of Season Two (which I had written). No response from the network.

Thank G-d for friends. Thank G-d for C.R., for N.A and R.A, for B.B. For Jason’s amazing family, for my kids, my ex-wife — and for the support of you, my friends and fans. You have no idea how much strength you gave me… make that — give me.

It was a crazy time. It still is.

But you know, I learned so much. I learned that things are things — and health, family, friends, and my adoring fans, are important. I am loved and I’ve had a good ride. I’m lucky and I am BLESSED.

I live daily with gratitude. Jason told me it would be okay and suggest that I start teaching and to get back on stage to tell my stories. I did and it saved me.

Yet, I was still fighting for “Sordid Lives: The Series”. I even tried to buy the show back from the producer — knowing, I could put together the money.

But negotiations came to a screeching stop. The price was too high. We reached an impasse — and now, I have a glimmer of hope — but yes, it has faded.

And as much as I love my friends at LOGO, it did sting when they picked up a second run (reruns) of “The Sarah Silverman Program” for more money per episode than they paid for SLTS. That money could have saved our show. And no disrespect to Ms. Silverman. I LOVE her show, but that’s not the point. My interpretation — “Sordid Lives: The Series” was just simply not that important for LOGO to save.

So, I must move on. I have other stories to tell. I want to see “Southern Baptist Sissies” on the big screen. I know the effect of the play. The healing. The salvation. {Anybody with a couple of mil want to make a difference, be a movie producer? :-) } I have other plays in me, other TV shows. Caroline Rhea, Leslie Jordan and I will bring our “A-Sordid Affair Comedy Tour” to you very soon. It’s all good.

But I do have more “Sordid Lives” in me… the 2nd season was written before it all went down. I own the stage rights and the publishing — so someday, someway, you’ll know how Noleta fares in the looney bin, where Brother Boy winds up… what happens to Ty and Jacob, to Latrelle, Wilson and Tomeka. You’ll know if Sissy gets out of jail. And who set the fire at Bubba’s? And how dear LaVonda works her magic on the masses! And how “Juanita” has at least has one clear moment.

I love you all — and if I get in trouble — I better have some lawyer fan (hopefully really cute) who will save my ass.

And as my Mama Merck used to say — “You can’t get blood from a turnip.”

And yes, as Sissy says, “It’ll all turn out…”

And as the Bible says, “The truth will set you free!”

Del Shores

Producer and writer Del Shores announced Monday that the rumored production for Season 2 of popular LOGO tv show, ‘Sordid Lives: The Series’ will not be going any further until situations are straighten out. In a facebook message to his fans he said:

Friends: I fought a good, hard fight, but at this time, there will be no Season 2 of “Sordid Lives: The Series” and I have no answer about Season 1 DVD. It is all a big f***ing mess that I can’t discuss at this time, but someday, you will know everything. I will continue to write and hopefully entertain you. I appreciate your loyalty and support. The future of ‘Sordid Lives’ came under speculation as rumors grew regarding the alleged financial trouble of the LOGO network and the delayed production of its season two.

Not everything is gloomy though. Jason Dottley, Del Shores’ husband, recently jumped into the music business and has gone on small tours around the gay bars in the U.S. Dottley will also be starring in an upcoming movie, ‘Tainted Love,’ which begins filming in late May.

TV Land today revealed the 20 handsome and charming young men – all in their 20s – competing to find love on TV Land PRIME’s new reality series “The Cougar” which premieres on Wednesday, April 15, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The show is basically like the male version of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ except instead of competing for a modeling contract, the dudes flex and show their stuff in hopes of getting a piece of that expired vadge action.

21-year-old actor Zac Efron showed America that he can be funny Saturday on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

Given, we weren’t laughing our asses off the whole time, Efron didn’t do such a bad job. His starting monologue though did strike a nerve — mainly because I’m not one of the tweens he thanked! He said that the female tweens were the one who help him rise to success. Efron should know that if it wasn’t for gay boys like me buying life-sized posters of him, his career would be at a standstill.

On the recent ‘Real World/Road Rules Challenge,’ meathead, CT, behaved like an animal by beating the living shit out of his teammate. Every single producer and cast member tried to hold him back, to no avail.

After Britney’s Vancouver stop, the Canadians may not be such huge fans of her anymore. During the performance of her third song she frickin’ walked off stage along with her crew not to return for 30 minutes! The drugged out Canadians were just standing there dumb-founded.

Anyways, someone finally came onto the loudspeaker and said, “The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes – this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared.”

So the Canadians hid their weed to make Britney happy. But here’s the biggest shit that happened that night… Brit closed the show by saying, “Thank you, Vancouver! You guys have a wonderful night. Drive safe, don’t smoke weed and rock out with your cocks out. Peace motherfuckers!”

In an interview with BET’s Clay Cane, hip-hop artist Xzibit talked about his career transition from rapper to actor extraordinaire.

Of course, the gay topic came up in which Xzibit talked ‘positively’ about his first gay club experience with Diddy. In the interview the rapper hints that homophobia isn’t right and says “if we’re going to start that we might as well start from square one and jump off the slave ship!”

Then again he also compared women to bitches — so what’s really right? The rapper also blames the media for trying to make being gay a negative thing. Hmm.

When all of that drama came out about Diddy and the gay club, you made a comment on your MySpace about homophobia and hip hop. Do you think homophobia is a big issue when it comes to hip hop?

It started as just common place; it was just part of the language. I think the overtones that it creates, is not what really exists. I don’t think if you are gay and you go to a hip-hop club that you’ll get beat up for being gay. That’s not what is going to happen. I think words are the way that people express themselves—just like if you say bitch on a rap record for a long time you can rally thousands of women that will say that’s incorrect. You can’t focus on one single thing or bad aspect of what happens in hip hop and try to blanket it. That’s not the root of the problem. It exists, I think it’s how you portray it, and it’s how you use it. You gotta paint with a broad brush when you talk about homophobia because it’s a lot of things that exist in hip hop that aren’t exactly right, but it’s part of the landscape.

But, were you surprised at how people freaked out about what you said on the radio about going to a gay club with Diddy?

No, people want to draw eyeballs to their sites—that’s not even what I said. If you’re going to quote me, at least quote what I said. But, it’s more exciting to say, “He took me to a gay club.” The problem I saw was, it’s not they were trying to get headlines, but the fact that they were trying to say it’s a negative thing—period—to be gay. After 8-years of being awol, Hilary Duff finally returns to the small screen. Duff will appear on a future episode of the CBS drama, the  ‘Ghost Whisperer.’

According to Zap2it.com “On the show, Duff will play the “beautiful woman of mystery” Morgan Jeffries, who may or may not be involved in the tragic death of a man who fell victim — literally — to a freak accident.”

‘Milk’ is by far, the best LGBT movie that I have seen to date. It received 8 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, for the 81st Academy Awards, taking home two for Best Original Screenplay by Dustin Lance Black and Best Actor in a Leading Role by Sean Penn, whom portrayed Harvey Milk.

It was stirring, it was strong, it was inspirational. I was fortunate enough to receive an advance copy of the DVD last week. My boyfriend and I made it a movie night. After the movie we had our little discussion/review session on it. He brought up a very good point, something I’m sure not many of us youth has yet to realize. He said “before seeing this movie, I’ve never really dealt with any type of discrimination, other than from my family, so I really didn’t feel like I had to go out and do anything because I wasn’t the one getting hurt”.

This is the one reason why I love this movie so much. I am socially active in the Dallas’ LGBT community, and have not had a hint of discrimination. Thought my boyfriend and I may have not been discriminated against, this is not the case for the millions of gays out there in the world. It’s very important to keep in mind, that though discrimination is not as bad as it was 30-plus years ago, we still must continue fighting for our rights. Not only for ourselves or our friends, but for the future generations to come: the future gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, and the future kid from Minnesota who still doesn’t have a voice (you have to watch the movie to understand this).

If it wasn’t for people like Harvey Milk and his crew of queens, we would probably not have the privileges that we so often overlook today. The peace of mind of being able to sit next to each other and being able to show each other love. The peace of mind of us being our own individuals. Please, do something for yourself, and something for the future you by becoming an advocate of your rights.

Britney Spears has to be one of the best comeback performers ever! I’m so proud of her! To go from teeny bopper, to years of bad luck, and now becoming a great star again. The 27-year-old pop star opened her ‘Circus’ tour in good ol’ New Orleans on Tuesday.

Whether you like her or not, there’s one thing we can all agree with on Britney; she knows how to pick the gay guys in her dance ensemble. Damn, where does she find them! Pics of her New Orleans performance after the jump — with the hot guys.

Black and Penn both gave two tear-jerking speech relating to civil rights and gay marriages. A almost tearful Black gave a special thank you speech to his mother for her ongoing support of his sexuality and a very special shout out to the LGBT community saying that we are all special and “that no matter what anyone tells you, God does love you, and that very soon — I promise you — you will have equal rights federally across this great nation of ours.”

‘Milk’ actor, Sean Penn, also gave a very great speech on gay rights. He says that all who voted for the ban on gay marriage should sit back and reflect and “anticipate their great shame and the shame in their children’s eye if they continue that way,” Penn said.

Taking home the grand title is ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ for Best Picture in 2008.

Slumdog Millionaire is a drama film directed by Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan, and written by Simon Beaufoy. It is an adaptation of the Boeke Prize-winning and Commonwealth Writers’ Prize-nominated novel Q & A (2005) by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup. ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ won five Critics’ Choice Awards, four Golden Globes, and seven BAFTA Awards, including Best Film, and was nominated for ten Academy Awards.

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ ranked in $98,019,715 at the box office.

Set and filmed in India, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young man from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (Kaun Banega Crorepati, mentioned in the Hindi version) and exceeds people’s expectations, arousing the suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials.

After screenings at the Telluride Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, Slumdog Millionaire initially had a limited North American release on November 12, 2008 by Fox Searchlight Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, to critical acclaim and awards success, and later had a nationwide release in the United States on 23 January 2009 and in the United Kingdom on 9 January 2009. It premiered in Mumbai on January 22, 2009.

It won Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, and Best Picture in the 81st Academy Awards.The film is also the subject of controversy concerning its portrayal of India and Hinduism as well as the welfare of its child actors.

We hope none of you missed the opening performance of ‘The Oscars’ because it was amazing! It was almost like watching a musical. The show this year was hosted by the sexiest man alive, Hugh Jackman. The best speech of the night so far, in my opinion, came from the winner of the Best Original Screenplay, Dustin Lance Black, in which he gave a special thank you speech to his mother for her ongoing support and another special shout out to the LGBT community saying that we are all special.

UPDATE: During his speech for acceptance of best Actor in a Leading Role, Sean Penn gave a speech on gay rights. He says that all who voted for the ban should be ashamed. “They are shameful in the eyes of their grandchildren,” Penn said.
