It’s pride weekend in Dallas, woot woot!!! As most of my regular readers know, this blog has FAILED at being updated the past few months and I totally apologize for that. I’m not sure if it was my pms kicking through or the fact that my life is changing right before my eyes that kept me from updating. Or it could have just been me trying to keep my mouth closed and not be so dramatic about everything. =)

Point being, I’m back and ready to start posting again. I’ve recently picked up photography so check it out at www.tracynphotography.com (my REAL name). My birthday also just passed this Wednesday so thanks to the many of you that left a message on my Facebook. I’m now 23 and rocking a new hair-do (pictured above), with a much more positive outlook on life.

Stay tuned this weekend for the Pride Photo updates and of course the updates during the week. I thank you all for your continued support of Pop Wired and helping it grow into the site it is today. Happy gay weekend!

Holy mother of Jesus, it’s gay week — for Dallas, Texas. With tons of shit going on we’ve compiled a small list of events that is probably worth a little of your time. Don’t bother on anything else that isn’t listed. Check it out after the jump.

Sept 19, Gay Day at Six Flags – Okay, it isn’t really officially sponsored by Six Flags, but it’s just a day where a bunch of gays take over the pony rides and stuff. Should be fun!

Sept 19, Pride Gala – Join the uppity gay Dallas socialites at the event of the year! 50 Foot Woman is thrilled to unveil the 2nd Annual Pride Gala Saturday, September 19th.
Sept 20, Alan Ross Freedom Pride Parade – And the most important event of all, the pride parade. The parade will start at 2pm beginning at Wycliff and Cedar Springs and will go all the way down towards Lee Park. The festivities at Lee Park will actually begin a little earlier at 11am. Notable speakers at the pride event include Cleve Jones (associate to Harvey Milk, founder of AIDS Quilt, and March on Washington), and Adam Bouska of the NoH8 Photo Project. See you all there!

Popular actor and singer Terrell Carter is the latest of two black celebrities that has been outed within the last two week, according to a story ran by Rod 2.0.

Apparently Carter’s ex-boyfriend, Alex Cortez, went on a little rampage after their separation and started blasting their intimate photos on the internet. On Cortez’s twitter account he stated, “Hell yeah i’m angry!…there are fucked up ppl out there no matter how nice they seem to be & it’s their fault, ppl they harm are bitter!”

Carter is known for his roles in Tyler Perry’s ‘Madea’ series.

Reality star Dorion Standberry (BET’s College Hill) was blasted ten days across the internet, also by an ex-boyfriend seeking revenge.

Too bad Carter’s latino boyfriend is such a little bitch — he is actually kind of cute. Do you think it was f’d up what Cortez did to Carter?

Peter Rauhofer’s infamous “Work” party has grown significantly over the past several years making its way around the globe with grand-scale events everywhere from Rio to Paris to Miami. On Saturday, June 27, the Grammy Award-winning DJ brings his “Work” party back to where it all started and makes it bigger than ever for New York Pride with “We Can!” at Manhattan’’s massive Roseland Ballroom.

“We Can!” is set to be one of the biggest Saturday Night Pride events New York has ever experienced featuring the DJ maestro himself Peter Rauhofer, Offer Nissim, Paulo, Oscar G and performances by Maya and Kevin Aviance!

In light of the recent shift in United States politics and momentum in the New York State legislature moving ever-closer to full marriage equality for gay New Yorkers, it’s difficult not to see the title Rauhofer chose for his mega-event as an allusion to politics and a paraphrase of the mantra that swept Barack Obama to the Presidency. Not so, says Rauhofer. “It’s not a political statement,” Rauhofer asserts. “Pride Weekend in New York is a colossal event where people from all over the world come together to celebrate the gay experience. Calling my party ‘We Can!’ is just a way of making a statement of how powerful we can be when we unite as a community.”

Peter Rauhofer Presents NYC’s Biggest Pride Extravaganza Ever, “WE CAN” at Roseland Ballroom (52nd St, btwn 8th Ave & Bway) on Sat June 27th from 10pm/10am – For ticket info, visit www.wantickets.com.

Fashion photographer Adam Bouska, 25, is changing the political mindset of Californian youths.

In a protest towards the recently passed Proposition 8 bill which banned gay marriages in the state of California, –Â alongside picketing with pitchforks — Bouska had decided to take a more creative route to vent his exasperation for the homophobes.

The Los Angeles photographer began doing a series of photoshoots featuring youths against H8.

“I want to say thank you to everyone for the overwhelming support regarding the NO H8 photo campaign. Last weekend I invited more ‘NO H8′ers into the studio to add to the growing collection,” Bouska said in his blog Dec 22.

Not surprisingly, a lot of the men in Bouska’s campaign are rather ’stunning’ looking. You can see the set after the jump.

The world took a miraculous turn Nov. 4 for –hopefully — the best with the election of President-Elect Barack Obama. A few hours later we found out that California’s Proposition 8, which bans gay marriage, had passed. Without a doubt that was one of the biggest disappointment in politics that I have ever endured.

Now I have something to smile about… at Change.gov, Obama has laid out his plans for the LGBT community which includes: 1) Combating workplace discrimination, 2) Expand Hate Crimes Statutes, 3) Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples, 4) Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage, 5) Repeal Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell, 6) Promote AIDS Prevention, 7) Expand Adoption Rights and 8) Empower Women to Prevent HIV/AIDS.

That’s a lot to do in four years. Do you think he can make it happen? Let’s hope he can fulfill all his promises.

The Obama-Biden Plan (”Support for the LGBT Community” from Change.gov)

1) Expand Hate Crimes Statutes: In 2004, crimes against LGBT Americans constituted the third-highest category of hate crime reported and made up more than 15 percent of such crimes. Barack Obama cosponsored legislation that would expand federal jurisdiction to include violent hate crimes perpetrated because of race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or physical disability. As a state senator, Obama passed tough legislation that made hate crimes and conspiracy to commit them against the law.

2) Fight Workplace Discrimination: Barack Obama supports the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and believes that our anti-discrimination employment laws should be expanded to include sexual orientation and gender identity. While an increasing number of employers have extended benefits to their employees’ domestic partners, discrimination based on sexual orientation in the workplace occurs with no federal legal remedy. Obama also sponsored legislation in the Illinois State Senate that would ban employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

3) Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples: Barack Obama supports full civil unions that give same-sex couples legal rights and privileges equal to those of married couples. Obama also believes we need to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and enact legislation that would ensure that the 1,100+ federal legal rights and benefits currently provided on the basis of marital status are extended to same-sex couples in civil unions and other legally-recognized unions. These rights and benefits include the right to assist a loved one in times of emergency, the right to equal health insurance and other employment benefits, and property rights.

4) Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage: Barack Obama voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment in 2006 which would have defined marriage as between a man and a woman and prevented judicial extension of marriage-like rights to same-sex or other unmarried couples.
5) Repeal Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell: Barack Obama agrees with former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff John Shalikashvili and other military experts that we need to repeal the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. The key test for military service should be patriotism, a sense of duty, and a willingness to serve. Discrimination should be prohibited. The U.S. government has spent millions of dollars replacing troops kicked out of the military because of their sexual orientation. Additionally, more than 300 language experts have been fired under this policy, including more than 50 who are fluent in Arabic. Obama will work with military leaders to repeal the current policy and ensure it helps accomplish our national defense goals.

6) Expand Adoption Rights: Barack Obama believes that we must ensure adoption rights for all couples and individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation. He thinks that a child will benefit from a healthy and loving home, whether the parents are gay or not.

7) Promote AIDS Prevention: In the first year of his presidency, Barack Obama will develop and begin to implement a comprehensive national HIV/AIDS strategy that includes all federal agencies. The strategy will be designed to reduce HIV infections, increase access to care and reduce HIV-related health disparities. Obama will support common sense approaches including age-appropriate sex education that includes information about contraception, combating infection within our prison population through education and contraception, and distributing contraceptives through our public health system. Obama also supports lifting the federal ban on needle exchange, which could dramatically reduce rates of infection among drug users. Obama has also been willing to confront the stigma — too often tied to homophobia — that continues to surround HIV/AIDS. He will continue to speak out on this issue as president.

8) Empower Women to Prevent HIV/AIDS: In the United States, the percentage of women diagnosed with AIDS has quadrupled over the last 20 years. Today, women account for more than one quarter of all new HIV/AIDS diagnoses. Barack Obama introduced the Microbicide Development Act, which will accelerate the development of products that empower women in the battle against AIDS. Microbicides are a class of products currently under development that women apply topically to prevent transmission of HIV and other infections.

As we reported Friday, the LGBT community united together Saturday morning at the city’s capitol — including the great city of Dallas — to protest against the passage of California’s Proposition 8. We really expected a larger turn-out considering the masses of people that attends the Pride Parade and the Halloween Block Party, but the number of protesters were around a mere 1,000.

Check after the jump to view our photo gallery and the video of the protest. We certainly hope that you had enough pride to fight for your civil rights and equality for all people.

It was pomp and circumstance booty dance in West Hollywood this past Tuesday as the city and state celebrated its opening debut of Gay Marriage in California. Followed by news outlet, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and formal announcements and speeches, the first couple to finally wed on the West Hollywood Park Auditorium was actor George Takei and his lover Brad Altman.

“Declaring his excitement, Mr. Takei, 71, said, “it’s going to be the only day like this in our lives and it is the only day like this in the history of America.”

“Let equality live long and prosper!”, he added.

County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky said the day proved the promise of California.

“For decades we’ve said that in California you can do anything you want to do, but you can’t be who you want to be. That all changed today, and makes me proud to be a Californian.”

Click here to view the embedded video.

The wedding frenzy started around 8:30am, but lines began to form as early as 6am. When Mayor Jeffrey Prang declared, “Let the licensing commence,â€? the media scrum began, with dozens of news organization from around the world fighting for the ‘winning shot’ of Mr. Takei and his beau Mr. Altman.

According to the West Hollywood local news, “The media sign in sheet looked like a United Nations roster, with Tokyo Broadcasting Corporation, the British Broadcasting Corporation, Wall Street Journal, NY Times and the Washington Post – just to list the most recognizable names – present with cameras.”

Across the state, at least 2,386 licenses were issued, up from 460 on an average day.

The LA County Registrar/Recorder reported that 648 licenses issued in the county compared to 133 normally – an increase of 415, or almost three times.

In West Hollywood, 204 couples got licenses and 114 ceremonies made honest men and women out of 228 people.

The application process ran into a minor snag, however, when licenses began spewing forth from the printers brought out for the task.

A software glitch had all the licenses, countywide, printing out licenses giving the old gender-based Bride and Groom spaces to fill in rather than the Applicant A and B spaces.

The situation was resolved within 45 minutes.

Gay men, lesbians and cross-dressers paraded down the skyscraper-lined Avenida Paulista, Sao Paulo’s financial heart, to the beat of loud music blasted off more than 20 sound trucks.

Organizers expected more than three million people at the 12th annual Sao Paulo Gay Pride Parade, which traditionally is one of the biggest in the world. Local authorities did not immediately give an estimate on the number of people attending the event, but said millions were likely present.

According to Sao Paulo’s department of tourism, the parade was expected to attract nearly 330,000 tourists to the city, 20 per cent more than last year’s event. At least five per cent of those tourists were expected from abroad.

The tourists are expected to bring about US $115 million to the city, in addition to helping create 13,500 direct and indirect jobs.

The parade caps a full week of attractions, including the Cultural Gay Fair, Gay Day and the International GLS Tourism Forum, the city’s tourism department said.

Last year, at least three million people packed the streets of Sao Paulo for what organizers said was the world’s largest gay pride parade.

Earlier this week, anti-gay groups tried to get a court to rule against the march, Romania’s fifth annual gay festival, but the court quickly denied their request.

However, the march did not go silently. Two opposing assemblies of demonstrators were held ahead of the parade. At one, members of a far-right group chanted “Romania does not want you” in a protest they said was “against sin”.

Romania decriminalised homosexuality in 2001, but gay people often face hostility in this largely conservative country of 22 million where the powerful Orthodox church views homosexuality as a sin and a disease.

Police said the gay rights march passed off without incident.

“It is encouraging,” riot police spokesman Marius Militaru told reporters. “People are becoming aware that we are heading towards a degree of normality.”

About 1,200 police were deployed to protect the parade this year.

“I want to thank the police here today … but we should be able to march and be ourselves without the police marching along,” Michael Cashman, a British member of the European Parliament, told activists.

“Yesterday, the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriage. So I would like to say right now, for the first time, I am announcing that I am getting married… I’m so excited. It’s something that we’ve, of course, wanted to do, and we’ve wanted to be legal, and we’re very very excited.”

In a much-anticipated ruling the California Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the the gay marriage ban law was in fact, unconstitutional. The law was enacted 4 years ago after much complaints towards the City of San Francisco after the Mayor temporarily allowed same-sex couples to wed, prompting a flood of applications to the city clerk’s office.

The first couple to wed then was 80-year-old Phyllis Lyon and 83-year-old Dorothy Martin, lovers for 50 years.

The law was quickly enacted and most of the same-sex marriage that had already taken place were denied their status.

Several Gays and Lesbian along with the city of San Francisco and gay rights groups, sued to overturn state laws allowing only marriages between a man and a woman.

“We have a right just like anyone else to get married to the person we want to get married to,” Lyon said at the time.

The ruling states that:
“There can be no doubt that extending the designation of marriage to same-sex couples, rather than denying it to all couples, is the equal protection remedy that is most consistent with our state’s general legislative policy and preference.”

It said that the state law’s language “limiting the designation of marriage to a ‘union between a man and a woman’ is unconstitutional, and that the remaining statutory language must be understood as making the designation of marriage available to both opposite-sex and same-sex couples.”

California will become the second state to allow gay marriage next to Massachusetts. Vermont, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Connecticut permit civil unions,

Seven other jurisdictions around the world have legalized same-sex marriage: Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, South Africa and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec.

Judith Dumont, Director of Administration for the Youth First Texas organization in Dallas said “Change is being made. We as a society are expanding our prospective in terms of alternative lifestyle. We are learning to embrace one another despite our differences.”

“However, we still have a long way to go. The work we do in community organization like YFT, HRC, and Lamda Legal can inspire people to care. I do we think we will see this change of acceptance in our life time,” said Dumont.

A once normal day now marks 12 years of protest. The National Day of Silence, started in 1996 by Maria Pulzetti, is a movement to help ‘end the silence’ that the GLBT community has to endure each and everyday.

This year has been dedicated in memory of 15-year-old Lawrence King who was allegedly murdered on the sole basis of his sexual identity.

The student who killed Lawrence was fellow classmate, Brandon McInerney, who shot Lawrence twice in the head as he sat at his computer in school. The Day of Silence was observed by a record breaking 8,500 middle and high school students, according to GLSEN.

Students worldwide took part in the movement by carrying cards which read

“Silent for Lawrence King. Please understand my reasons for not speaking today. I am participating in the Day of Silence (DOS), a national youth movement bringing attention to the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies. My deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by anti-LGBT bullying, name-calling and harassment. This year’s DOS is held in memory of Lawrence King, a 15-year-old student who was killed in school because of his sexual orientation and gender expression. I believe that ending the silence is the first step toward building awareness and making a commitment to address these injustices. Think about the voices you are not hearing today.”

Although the message carries a positive persona, certain groups such as the American Family Association [AFA] and the Westboro Baptist Church insist on going against the silent protest. The group urged parents to keep their child at home if the school was to observe the Day of Silence – which we would love to point out had no control over none of it.

We still have high hopes for the success of this movement as it continues to grow. Let’s hope that no other family has to endure the pain that the King family had to go through. What are you going to do to end the silence?

In remembrance of
Lawrence King
January 13, 1993 – February 12, 2008

Step your teen bopper ass back Lance Bass, because this year someone that actually matters just came out of the closet and didn’t have to prance to do it. It’s time for the favorite part of any gay man’s life: the one-hitter-quitter… and let me tell you, this one hit it out the park as far as I’m concerned :p

We’ve recently had the great pleasure of being able to interview the former Christian T.V. host of The Remix and recently outed celebrity, Azariah Southworth. I’ll be honest with you guys, he’s easily one of the sweetest people I’ve interviewed to date.

Without further adieu, our latest intimate encounter: Azariah Southworth.

Alex: I suppose first and foremost, my opening question has to be about the Feedback. I know there’s been a lot of support for you, but I’m sure there’s also been a lot of backlash. Which was more prevalent for you?

Azariah: A little over 90% of the feedback has been very positive and supportive. However, it has not been from the church like Christianpost.com reported. They twisted what I said and made it like the church was being supportive when that is not the case. There has been a little backlash but more positive than negative for sure.

FYI: The Good Christians took his quote of “I’ve received literally hundreds of emails from everyone around the world and they’re all encouragingâ€? to be referring to the Christian Community, instead of being a general statement as it was originally intended. Gotta love propaganda-oriented journalism, really shows some great colors.

Alex: I read somewhere that you would be unable to continue on with your Television program, was that due to a decision on your part, or a decision by the network? If there are any very specific details that you’d rather not share that’s fine, but I was just curious about your comfort level with the events.

Azariah: I was not going to be able to my TV show anymore because I knew the networks were not going to allow it. Sure enough, I was correct. The show is officially kicked off the air. So, if MTV, FUSE, or LOGO is reading this…I have an amazing show for you! Yeah, as soon as the network executives got wind of the news they immediately pulled it with no hesitation. I knew that was going to happen, because I know these people, what they believe, and they don’t believe in being gay.

Alex: lol Gotta love shameless self-promotion =D How has your family been impacted due to the recent announcement? Have they been supportive of your lifestyle?

Azariah: My family has been very supportive and loving, thank God! I know it’s not easy for them, but our relationship is still good and the strong. My family will never stop loving me, they may disagree but they’ll never stop loving me. We’re a very close and strong family; we’ve already been through too much together.

Alex: Were you worried your surroundings when you came out? I know Tennessee isn’t exactly the most blue state on the map, let alone being the humble home of the Grand Ole Opry.

Azariah: Lol! Actually, yes, I was very worried. I went out to a birthday dinner the night it all blew up in the media and when I got home I kept looking behind me, I put the chain lock on both of my doors. I was very scared. The smallest sound or movement of anything freaked me out.

Alex: I know from personal experience that when you just come out of the closet, you may not necessarily have a great number of gay friends for support; do you consider yourself to be very active (socially or politically) in the Gay Community?

Azariah: Yes, I’m very socially active in the gay community here in Nashville. I have a lot of very close gay friends who support me and have already been down the road I’m on. They’re all very intelligent and educated in what the Bible really says about being gay too. I’m very grateful for the friends I have here, straight and gay.

Alex: Do you have any special guys in your life, or a partner that you’ve shared these recent roller-coaster days with? Be Honest! You’re a pretty good looking guy with a good head on his shoulders, I’m sure if you’re not taken, there would be plenty of guys throwing themselves at you by now.

Azariah: Well… I’m currently single… However, I received an email from a guy in Atlanta and we’ve been talking online and over the phone now. He’s seems to be a really great guy, we come from the same backgrounds, he loves Jesus, he’s really cute, he’s goal oriented, we love the same kind of music and style of clothes, did I mention he’s freaking cute! Lol! When we talk, we talk for a long time and I really enjoy it. We’re planning on going on a date. I’m very excited.

Alex: lol That cute huh? You gotta love attraction at its Gayest; have you maintained many of your old friends with the recent declaration of your preferences? I know that sometimes some people aren’t as…accepting as we’d like them to be.

Azariah: I’ve had a few fallouts with friends in the past week. Some of them use to be my closest friends but now our friendship will never be the same. There is so much more to that story, but it’s very personal and maybe can be told when it is all resolved. I hope that we will come to a place where we can be friends again though. They mean a lot to me. However, if they decide to move on then so be it. Like Madea says, “I put everyone in my life in the category of a tree. Some people are like leaves, one day they’re over here and when the wind blows they’re all the sudden over here, when the season changes they’re gone. Some other people are like branches, now you got to be careful with those branches, they’ll trick you. As soon as you step out on them, some of them break from right underneath you. You got to be careful with those branches. But when you find yourself two or three good people like the roots of that tree, they ain’t going nowhere. When people want to go, let them go. That is some of the wisest advice for friendships I’ve heard.

Alex: In the Future, do you still see a Christian oriented career for yourself, or have you moved on to other occupational pursuits?

Azariah: I definitely want to be involved in ministry and I think that’s where my life/career is kind of heading right now. However, I still want to do television and I would love to host a talk show. That is something I’m pursuing right now. I would also love to deejay a radio show.

Alex: I know with the recent events, and especially being a part of the pious Christian community, one may question himself or his allegiances when coming to grips with being a homosexual. How has your faith been affected during this time of self-actualization? Were you ever worried about it being a “sinful life,” just the wrong way to live or did you believe God would be alright with your manner of lifestyle? After all, I know of a holy man who was always surrounded by twelve men at once, and it was very fashionable at the time; then again, that was two millennia ago.

Azariah: My faith has been tested but strengthened in the past week. I have become more aware of who I am as a person and as a Christian. Through this I’ve seen my hypocrisy in situations which has caused me to learn. However, I’ve discovered more of who I am and who I strive to be. I was definitely worried being gay was a “sinful life but after doing research I don’t feel that way anymore. I believe God just wants us to find someone to love. The Bible says there is neither male nor female in the body of Christ. God is not a male or a female, he is his own, he’s God. God doesn’t see gender when he looks at us, he sees our hearts, and he is only worried about the condition of our hearts. (Indeed – Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed for dozens of other reasons, butt-sex just so happened to be rampant there and got a bad rep =) )

Alex: What would you like to say to other gay men who struggle with their sexuality and being a pious believer?

Azariah: I would like to say, God desires and loves you unconditionally. He wants nothing more than you to reciprocate the love he is offering you. You’re not alone, and you’re not abandoned. Know that it’s ok, and yes, the rumor is true, you can be a Christian and be gay. : )

Alex: Try telling that to our site’s overlord. His partner is a firm Christian believer, but Trey begs to differ…to say the least.

He also had this to say about the National Day of Silence:
“This is something I hope most people will be able to participate in. Not only for the memory of Lawrence King, but the countless others who experience acts of hate everyday. This is a call for people to wake up. Hate is a time of the past, and we’re moving forward. Throw down your stones and grab the hand of another and lets walk together in silence for love.”

We’ve had a number of efforts to get a comment from the Network in question, but unfortunately we weren’t given the time of day - then again with a tag-line of “Media Gossip at its Gayest,” it really isn’t all that surprising. So there you have it folks, an all-around stand up guy =) Thank you so much Azariah for taking your time to do this interview. LOGO, FUSE, MTV… get this guy back on TV!

What makes him stick out from the rest of the gays like Lance Bass is his huge religious background. Azariah is the host of the popular Christian show ‘The Remix.’

In honor of National Day of Silence, April 25th, Azariah believed it was the only right thing to do and confess.

Read what Azariah has to say after the jump!

“Hello, I’m Azariah Southworth host of the Christian TV show, The Remix. Just this week I came out to the world. Not only did it make local headlines here in Nashville, TN but national headlines. I’ve received hundreds of emails from people all around the world, all of which have been encouraging and supporting my decision. I will no longer be able to do my show on Christian TV but that is ok. I recently heard of GLSEN and their event, “Day of Silence.” As I learned more about it and that it is in memory of Lawrence King I really wanted to be a part of what was going on. I heard about Lawrence King on the Ellen Show. I was devastated when I heard the story. That is why I’m committed to use this new platform I’ve been given to help end these acts of hatred and educate people.

I know for me being gay is not a choice. It something I’ve always felt and knew was a part of me. This is something I remember “knowing” since the age of five. I started to come out in High School but even then I was suppressing how I felt. It wasn’t until I moved to Nashville, TN did I make any gay friends who have gone through the same thing. Because of them I have learned so much and come to realize that is ok to be gay and it’s not a sin. It’s been a long and hard road but worth it all. I’m now in a place where I can be free and honest with everyone and that is well worth the price I have and will pay.

I encourage everyone to spread the word about “Day of Silence.” The world needs to know we are equal. Let’s come together and do this.

- Azariah Southworth
4/18/2008″
I’m sure that the whole gay community is proud of this brave young man. Please leave comments to show your support for him!!

Last night on his myspace bulletin Lance posted what a “PSA” which linked to a video which you can see after the jump. Lance Bass doesn’t want others to stay silent as he did. The clip was dedicated to everyone that was lost due to anti-gay violence. This years memorial, April 25th, will be in remembrance of Lawrence King, a 15 year old whom was killed because of an alleged homophobic class mate.

MacFarlane says he feels a little ‘terrified’ about what the public and his fans in general will think. – Oh no, What will the teeny boppers do?

“I don’t know what will happen professionally … that is the fear, but I guess I can’t really be concerned about what will happen, because it’s my truth.”

Sweetie this is 2008… if you aren’t gay or at least have messed around with someone of the same-sex something is seriously wrong with you. Plus, if you don’t make it in TVLand you can ways do some Randy Blue and I’ll buy ya ;)

This reminds me of Adamo Ruggiero from Degrassi coming out of the closet because of his gay character. Ryan Phillippe i’m still waiting!

It’s going to be a Gay Day this upcoming April 1st as a new start-up launches their online Gayborhood webcasts. “At Gayborhood.tv we see no reason why LGBT programming should be limited to what comes out of our TV sets. So we got together and created a place where people can watch shows about life in our communities — shows that are reflections of ourselves — on a website that highlights each and every colorful shade of our diverse rainbow.” So what is going to set them apart from the rest of the Gay webcast? I guess we’ll find out at the launch.

There’s also going to be a user-generated video section called LGBTube where you can upload your own videos for the Gayborhood to see. Check it out April 1st.

The Gayborhood, aka Cedar Springs & Oaklawn threw their annual Halloween Block Party this past Saturday in Dallas. You can only imagine the almost nude hotness of Texan men (and I guess Lesbians) roaming around the block. Above were only the few that past by me and they were already blowing everyone’s mind away. Some of the guys up there were so straight-looking I didn’t know what was right or left. And guess who made a guest appearance… Britney Spears. Check out her pic after the jump. Chris Crocker I hope this doesn’t make you cry… or maybe it just might.

The night went by flawlessly. My baby dressed up as a cop… the same costume we used on multiple occasions ;-)

This past weekend at the Gay Pride parade I had a chance to meet one of my premium sponsors, the on Display Men modeling agency. They have a huge selection of calendars for sale featuring 60 of the sexiest guys from around the country. You can see 3 of the models above. My favorite is the one on the far left. Check out more of the on Display Men calendar here.

Today was Gay Pride Day in Dallas, TX. It was burning hot (temperature wise) and the streets were full of cheerful queens, including myself. I didn’t attend last year due to the weather so it was really fun to be out and about around happy people. :-) I captured some hot pics, the floats were pretty nice, and best of all I spent my birthday with my baby and friends. Though I wish I didn’t had to work I got some fancy networking done and got some sponsorships for TREY CRUZ. Â

Above is the sexiest picture of all :-p BJ and I haven’t had a picture of ourselves kissing in a long time. It was really nice! BJ has such a big…

Â
sexy lip. :-p And look at the papi below. I threw something at his shoe because he didn’t look at the camera. Look at me boy! Check back tomorrow and throughout the week for sexy photos of the 2007 Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade.
