One big name that likely won’t be at this year’s Oscars: Kodak.

The Eastman Kodak Co. received court approval Wednesday to end its sponsorship deal with the Hollywood theater that is the venue for the Academy Awards.

Kodak signed a $74 million deal for naming rights to the theater in 2000. But the struggling photography company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month and wanted to end its contract for naming rights of the glamorous Los Angeles theater as it tries to improve its finances.

The company’s financial advisers said in court documents that the benefits of having the company’s name on the 3,300-seat erstwhile Kodak Theatre aren’t worth the contract’s cost.

Kodak confirmed Wednesday that a U.S. Bankruptcy judge approved its request to end the deal.

It’s unknown what name will be on the theater when the Oscars are awarded Feb. 26. Kodak said the termination is effective immediately and deferred questions on the theater’s name to the venue’s owners and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

CIM Group, the company that owns the theater, declined to comment on the decision or the future of the theater’s name. A representative for the academy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In addition to the theater’s name, its owners may have to make other tweaks.

The theater has a George Eastman Room, named after Kodak’s founder, which displays one of the nine Oscar statuettes that Kodak has been awarded through the years for its scientific and technical achievements and contributions to the industry, according to the theater’s website

Kodak, based in Rochester, N.Y., is a photography pioneer but has been battered by competition and has failed to keep up with the shift from film to digital technology. It has been in a roughly decade-long turnaround but filed for bankruptcy protection when it ran short on cash.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York handling the case also approved a $950 million debtor-in-possession financing for Kodak on Wednesday that allows it to operate normally during bankruptcy, while it tries to sell its collection of digital-imaging patents.

Kodak spokesman Christopher Veronda said the company will still have a presence at the awards show. He noted that seven of the nine films nominated for the Oscar for best picture were shot on Kodak film.

Wednesday the world lost a creative visionary, a leader, and a great businessman. Apple Inc. Co-founder Steve Jobs, 56, lost his battle to pancreatic cancer. He brought the world what they all craved for: easy to use technology with user friendly designs and a modern flair. That’s not only where it stops though. Steve Jobs leave behind an amazing legacy as a huge supporter of the gay community.

In 2008, Apple Inc. was at the forefront fighting for Gay Rights making a donation of $100,000 to fight the anti-gay Proposition 8 that was heavily publicized and battled in California proposing the banning of gay marriage.

Apple was also an early adopter of LGBT-friendly hiring practices and scored a perfect 100 in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for offering their employees LGBT-protections, domestic partner benefits, and diversity training—also setting a strong example for other large corporations.

And most recently, as Steve Jobs stepped down as CEO back in August, he hand picked his successor, Tim Cook, as the most powerful gay businessman in the world to run the Apple empire.

For me personally, being able to witness the progression of the changing computer technology whether it be a Windows or Mac, not only saw Steve Jobs as that man in the ugly black turtle neck and blue jeans, but I saw a man that changed the world… quite literally.

Apple products were synonymous with gays. Owning an Apple product was like owning up to being a rebel, a leader in a trend, something the gay community as you know probably fight day and night for. No longer are we stuck inside this corporate square box. We’re able to live our life simplistically thanks to his technology.

Steve, you literally brought out the creative side and inspired millions in this world. You will forever live in our history book as the innovator of our century.

UPDATE: At the request of our web host, the photos of Colton Haynes swapping tongue with another guy was removed to prevent our asses from being sued.

Actor Colton Haynes is back in the spotlight. This time he’s armed with an attorney. Back in 2006 photos of Colton Haynes kissing another guy for an issue of XY magazine made its circulation around the web.

The photographer of those photos, Sean Bentz sent an email out to hundreds of blogs requesting the images be removed, Popwired included. Of course we complied.

Little to say, Popwired knew something was up and we just learned today that Bentz and his lawyer were probably making their rounds to keep their client out of the gaydar because of Colton’s new show on MTV called ‘Teen Wolf’ which is debuting this weekend.

Anyway, back to this attorney. Several blogs have received notices from Bryan J. Freedman, an attorney claiming to represent actor Haynes, threatening legal action if they do not remove the “private, obscene, lewd and pornographic photographs”.

First off, the pictures appeared in a popular highly circulated magazine — popular at that time anyway. We clearly do not see an issue here with “private” photos since it was used in a magazine. The attorney states that it was also pornographic in nature. Umm, we wish.

The photos that we were forced to delete is being argued by the general public as protected by the First Amendment and under Fair Use for Copyright for commentary, criticism, and news reporting. Thank you Colton’s lawyer! He ought to change his career to become a publicist instead, and sign-on with Lindsay Lohan.

Email from Bentz to Popwired:

Dear Website Owner,

It has come to my attention that you are displaying copyrighted images of Colton Haynes I took and published in XY Magazine on your website http://www.popwired.com/2009/04/stud-dud-colton-haynes/.
EDITOR’S NOTE – So I got an interesting email today from a company called Popwired Music Group. I did a little Google search on them, which not surprisingly, brought up nothing. Anyways, they alleged us of infringing on their IP and wants us to transfer the domain name over to avoid legal action. Um, excuse me?

The company claims to have represented Key$ha (labeled with RCA) and many others. Anyways you can see the email their “counsel” sent and my unprofessional response after the jump. Crazedhits.com sounds really desperate for visitors, considering that Quantcast.com rated their monthly visits to be only 3,000.

Should we give in or argue this out? Let’s see how this all plays out.

FROM CRAZED HITS:

To Whom It May Concern:

We are intellectual property counsel to Popwired Music Group, a nationally renown production, management, talent and music industry company, also operating under the name “Crazed Hits”, and write to you concerning your registration of Popwired.com. Your registration and operation of the aforementioned Domain Name violates our client’s trademark rights.

As I am sure you are aware, Popwired and Crazed Hits have been using their name at least as early as February 2008. Since that time, our client’s company has worked with international music stars such as Kesha, Drake, Owl City and Mike Posner among others. Through the substantial sale and of the artists our client has worked with, our client has acquired substantial good will in the Popwired Trademark, such that the public and music industry has come to associate that mark solely with our client.

In fact, because the Domain Name “Popwired.com” is identical to our client’s trademark and is thus likely to cause confusion as to the source or sponsorship of the Domain Name, any continued use you might make of “Popwired.com” would violate Section 43(a) of the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. §1125(a), see Planed Parenthood Fed. of Am., Inc. v Bucci., 42 U.S.P.Q.2d 1430 (S.D.N.Y. 1997), and would entitle our client to seek injunctive relief and legal relief, including, inter alia, any and all profits made by you in connection with any productions and/or services sold on or through “Popwired.com”, and any and all damages sustained by our client as a result of such violation, including a potential award of treble damages and attorneys fees should such violations be found to be willful. See 15 U.S.C. §1117(a); Vuitton et Fils, S.A. v Crown Handbags, 492 F. Supp. 1071, 1078-9 (S.D.N.Y. 1979).

Additionally, we believe that your registration and use of “Popwired.com” violates Paragraph 4(b) of The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (“ICANN’s”) Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, as incorporated into your Registration Agreement with 1and1.com. As such, we believe it is your legal obligation to immediately transfer the Disputed Domain Name “Popwired.com” to our client.

In our view, should we pursue this matter either in court or in an ICANN arbitration hearing, we could – without question – recover “Popwired.com”. However, in any effort to resolve this quickly and amicably, our client is willing to settle this matter without any legal proceedings in exchange for the immediate transfer of the

Disputed Domain Name “Popwired.com” to our client.

Please contact me at (646) 535-5080 or by return e-mail before March 7, 2011 to verify that you will accept our offer. Please be advised that should you refuse to transfer the Disputed Domain Name to our client, we reserve the right to institute appropriate litigation and/or arbitration proceedings against you.

Yours truly,
Brad McCarroll
Head of Business Affairs
Popwired Music Group / Crazed Hits

Phone: (646) 535-5080

Popwired’s response to the issue:

First off, why didn’t you guys register Popwired.com in February of 2008 instead of CrazedHits.com? I bought this name 06-Nov-2008, evidently the same time you guys bought Crazedhits.com. You had 2.5 years to contact me about this alleged IP issue. Why so late?

Secondly, why does a search for Popwired Music Group bring up nothing, but my content?

Thirdly, Crazedhits.com is a blog about music… and from the looks of it, a fan blog.

Popwired.com is a blog about the gay agenda. Two completely different content and audience base.

I’m obviously not going to give up a blog I created during lunch in college three years ago.

“Granting homosexuals the right to marry is like granting plantation owners the right to own slaves.”

These are the words of three-time presidential hopeful Alan Keyes of the Republican Party. First of all I would really like to thank him for pointing out such a big issue that everyone has overlooked.

If Keyes’ analogy doesn’t represent all that is righteous and holy and you’re naive enough not to see the truth in his statement, that’s fine, cause God will forgive.

But, for the meantime, let us tell you what we think he really wanted to say:

Firstly, he knows that as a slave you have no rights; you must do whatever your master tells you. Similarly, if same sex-marriage is allowed, then straight men and women will have to do whatever the homosexuals want. Legalizing same sex-marriage will give homosexuals the power to marry whoever they want and straight men and women will have no say in it.

Secondly, we don’t have slaves anymore because we want equal rights for all. Slaves are also human beings and they too have the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. The 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments were added to the constitution to protect their rights. Similarly, the Defense of Marriage Act was enacted to protect the rights of straight people who are always tormented by homosexuals who have no moral values.

And finally, come on, oppression of black people isn’t anything at all like the oppression of homosexuals in today’s society. No, sir.

So many of you may have guessed by now that, with Keyes’ right-wing bigotry thinking, he’s probably 200-years-old. He has a lot of experience and knows how our society works more than anyone else so what he says must be correct.

I rest my case. Thank you Mr. Keyes for helping us find the righteous oh glorious light.

You all can read the full story here written by Keyes himself.

FROM THE INBOX: Outtakes Dallas is gearing up for the 12th annual film festival with its first screening set for March 17, 2011 at the Magnolia Theatre in Dallas. With a new managing director and screening schedule, this year’s festival is expected to reach a larger audience.

First screening scheduled for March 17, 2011 featuring “YOU SHOULD MEET MY SON!”

“There’s something about the feeling of inclusiveness and the experience of seeing an LGBT film in a theater setting that we all enjoy,” explains Paul Belk, managing director for Outtakes. “You cannot get that same experience from streaming a film at home; and that’s what Outtakes Dallas brings to the community.”

Belk, a full-time technical product manager for a Fortune 100 software company, brings more than 17 years of experience of corporate knowledge and expertise to the organization. Combined with a team of skilled board of directors and passionate volunteers, Outtakes is looking forward to interacting with audiences in a new way.

“This season, we want to reinvigorate the Dallas community through the art of film,” Belk says. “We’ll be doing this by bringing the community out to support local, national, and international LGBT filmmakers.”

Outtakes Dallas Season 12 kicks off with the screening of You Should Meet My Son! On March 17, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Magnolia Theatre (3699 McKinney Ave., Suite 100). Directed by Keith Hartman, the film tells the story of a conservative, Southern mom who is initially horrified to discover that her only son is gay. Determined that he does not go through life alone, she sets out to find him a husband.

A special Q&A session will follow the film screening with Hartman who will talk with the audience about his experience planning and shooting the film. A reception will follow at approximately 9 p.m. and will be open to all patrons.

The festival will continue with new film screenings on June 2 and November 10, with the flagship multi-day festival taking place September 22 through 25.

Individual tickets for Outtakes Dallas screenings are $10 each. A Season 12 OutPass is now on sale, with a limited quantity available, for only $150. OutPass ticket holders receive several special benefits, including priority access to every screening this season.

The state will start granting civil union certificates starting January 1, 2012. How fitting. Now the conspiracy theorists can blame the 2012 Doomsday on Hawaii now.

Hawaii joins Illnois who signed their Civil Union bill on January 31, 2011. One more reason for same sex couples to go to Hawaii- they can marry and have their honeymoon at the same place. Lets just hope that other states will soon follow Hawaii’s footsteps.

Gay people are a rare species — us Dallas-gays in particular. We’re pretentious, we rank high on egotism (111pts on Scrabble to be exact), and heck we’re from Texas so everything is definitely bigger and better here.

And like every other human on this earth, sex is usually a necessity for us to function properly. To hear a gay person say “no” to sex is like finding out Lady Gaga is really a drag queen — ok wait, bad analogy, that won’t be surprising at all.

Ian Kerner, a sexuality counselor and New York Times best-selling author, blogs about sex on Thursdays on The Chart. Read more from him at his website, GoodInBed.

Here are some reasons why men would say “no” to sex according to Kerner:

Biological issues

Emotional issues

Relationship issues

Porn is probably more satisfying

Here are some reasons why gay men would say “no” to sex according to Popwired:

Different social status

Doesn’t have nice hair

Face and body is not proportionate

Everyone hates him

Everyone slept with him

Not good enough ratings in bed

He might have the AIDS

He’s bisexual

If I sleep with a slut, does that make me a slut?

I met him last week and now i’m in love!!!

We might be exaggerating it a little and you guys might think we’re gay-hating gays, but from our perspective it’s true! Life lesson learned. That crap tv show A-List New York is a very great example of this gay generation.

Gay marriage? Not at this time.

The Obama Administration’s decision to no longer defend the archaic Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), passed in 1996 during the Bill Clinton Administration, is a move that will not streamline marriage equality at the Federal level.

However, the move by the Administration is a step in the right direction and is legally based, and strongly defended, by the Constitution’s 14th Amendment equal protection clause.

The challenge for the LGBT community to reach marriage equality will continue to rest at local and state levels. This is a continuing battle that doesn’t just include marriage equality, but anti-bullying legislation, domestic partnership rights, and more—all of which can be achieved at local and state levels.

Do not expect the Federal government to take up what is considered a strategic Republican wedge issue in marriage equality. One side of the political aisle would love nothing more than to use strategic wedge issues, intended to divide the electorate, leading up to the 2012 Presidential campaign and the Administration will not hand them such an easy tool.

As it is right now, it was very smart politically for the Administration to take this particular stance now, while the Republican controlled House of Representatives is locking horns with the Democratic controlled Senate on the issues of deficit spending and budget cuts.

Moreover, with the continuing political crisis in the Middle East with Egypt and Libya, and the growing legislative battles between Unions and Republican efforts to strip collective bargaining rights in states like Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio—the political timing of this announcement was strategically smart. Particularly on the heels of the repeal of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” last December.

This was a step in the right direction toward equality, but it will not lead toward pursuit of Federal law recognizing marriage equality. We still have a long way to go.

<img src="http://www.popwired.com/images/2011/02/corbinfisher.jpg" alt="Will Corbin Fishers suing campaign harm the gay community?" title="corbinfisher" width="450" height="350" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-10286" />

Porn downloaders might need a little more than lube to get off this time. The gay porn industry is putting together their army of lawyers and going after video piracy.

Corbin Fisher, known for their videos of “straight” college men have gone out on a full-blown suing campaign to the tune of $150,000. The company was a little nice about it in which they gave offending users a two-week amnesty period to come forward and admit to downloading the videos.

To get removed from the lawsuit all the offending user had to do is pay $1000 — and get this — as a reward, they’ll receive a free year of membership to the porn website.

XBIZ reports:

Liberty Media Holdings, parent company of Corbin Fisher, said that its strong anti-piracy stance was noteworthy in 2010.

“The company won millions of dollars in court judgments in the past year, including a recent $250,000 judgment against a single torrent user,” the company said in a statement.

Corbin Fisher warned that BitTorrent users not taking advantage of the amnesty period will be liable for up to $150,000 in damages for each infringement.

“A list of thousands of torrent users has already been provided to Corbin Fisher by an independent research group, and all of these users will be targeted in the first wave of lawsuits to be filed in February,” the company said. “Anyone who has shared Corbin Fisher content via a torrent site is encouraged to contact the company immediately.”

Here’s what we found flawed about this whole get-rich-quick scheme of Corbin Fisher:

1) Corbin Fisher hired an independent company to track the IP addresses of downloading users. Because these users are only associated with the primary name of the internet account you can’t really tell if Uncle Henry or Uncle Sam downloaded the videos.

Case in point: Corbin Fisher sent a lawsuit notice to a New Jersey woman and accused her of downloading gay porn. We found it ironic that the woman so happens to be an electrician. She may be downloading ‘Two Girls and a Cup,’ but ‘Dawson F!@#$ Connor’ is really unlikely. Read here.

2) Statistics show that the largest age group of porn downloaders are kids under the age of 18 without credit cards, nor $1000 for that matter. We have all been broke before and should never resort to stealing, obviously. The problem with this is that a lot of the teens are still in the closet and when sued are force to have that awkward, “yes mom, I like gay porn” conversation in court. Read here.

Corbin Fisher is contributing to the endangerment of these kids and all for what… failed profit because the company is so disorganized in the security of their products?

3) If these kids are outed and God-forbid abused by their parents, Corbin Fisher would also be contributing to the domestic violence, the rise in suicide rates and in effect the demise of Corbin Fisher itself.

No one wants to associate with a company that caused the kid next door to commit suicide over a little top-bottom video downloaded over the internet.

The gay blogs are angry about Corbin Fisher’s suing campaign and encourage any current account holder to closed their account and ban the company until they get their act straight.

What do you guys suggest should be done?

Rosie O’ Donnell, in the name of all fat women, tells Access Hollywood that she is disappointed with GLEE’s Ashley Fink’s character. “Every woman I know who’s heavy has very strong feelings about that storyline,” she said. She adds that things like that [Lauren hooking up with Puckerman] never happens in school and that Ashley’s character is so unlikable.

“Why didn’t they get a pretty heavy girl?” Rosie adds.

Ashley’s response: “Woman, let’s talk about this. Don’t be jealous ’cause a big girl’s doing her thing on Glee.”

The Advocate: The Lauren and Puck romance on Glee has been causing quite a stir in the blogosphere, but the controversy seems to have come to a head after last week’s episode with Rosie O’Donnell’s statements to Access Hollywood about the onscreen pairing. “Every woman I know who’s heavy has very strong feelings about that storyline,” she said. “They’re like, ‘Can you believe that? I think it’s horrible. That never happens in school. That character is so unlikable. Why didn’t they get a pretty heavy girl?’” She went on to say that “every story deserves to be told,” but what’s your take on her more unflattering observations?

Ashley: It’s so crazy. Rosie’s been talking about me for a bit now, and it was very positive. Then she was on Access Hollywood, promoting a new hairstyle or something, and for some reason she decided to talk about me again. I’ve been a fan of Rosie’s for a long time – for Christmas one year I asked for a Koosh ball like she threw at people because I thought she was the coolest lady ever – so I am surprised at the comments she made. I’ve got swagger too, so I don’t find my storyline unrealistic. When I went to performing arts high school, I did date the cutest boy in school, and I sang whatever song I wanted. My storyline has resonated with a lot of people, plus-sized and not, who don’t feel “other,” so I’m honored to portray Lauren.

In today’s wonderful series of WTF, porn star Simon Dexter butt heads (hehe) with London-based photographer Dylan Rosser over some racy images — and evidently some misunderstanding of contract law.

So, what’s the deal?

If only porn stars’ reading skills were as good as their performances, this world would be a better place.

Dexter (pictured right) is angry that he was only paid $350 posing for what he thought was a coffee table book campaign. He state that if he knew it was for a “porn website” he would have charged $5000 because, you know, it’s so rare to find a gay person who want to strip naked.

Hell Rosser, I’ll do it for a $5 Starbucks gift card!

Dexter made a public outcry on his blog alleging Rosser (pictured left) of fraudulently posting images that the photographer himself took, on the portfolio website TheMaleForm.

“So last summer he contacted me again about shooting a coffee table book. I agreed and we shot for a very low rate because I wanted to be part of an artistic book,” Dexter stated.

“In the last few days, I have come to find out that these images have been published by Dylan on his membership subscription porn website. This is a clear violation of our agreement and my trust and is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL” and asked his fans for a call-to-action.

This is going to be bigger than the Egypt revolution!

Popwired requested a copy of the contract from Rosser in which he quickly complied. The contract show that Dexter signed on June 10, 2010 and after careful review — and naps in between — we determined that Dylan Rosser had the legal rights to do what he wanted with the images — including posting them on this “porn website.”

The major failing component of the contract is that it never states the particular job the photos were being used for. It gave the photographer full rights to publish the images for whatever reason which is a general practice these days.

Now what?

I know we’re gay and we like to use our mouth for almost everything, but because a written contract does exist and take precedence above everything, Simon Dexter has two options:

Be a big man and just let it be… plenty of his nude photos are out there anyways. Take one for your fans!

Continue what he’s doing and be liable for a slander lawsuit.

Rosser told Popwired that the images of Simon Dexter will be removed soon from his website.

For anyone who follow Dylan Rosser’s work, you all know that the photos that are used on TheMaleForm are the same photos that he incorporates into his coffee table book.

It should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

And one more thing, can someone please explain in the comment section the difference between artistic nudes and porn? I don’t think Simon Dexter is defining it correctly.

[UPDATE Feb 22 @ 9:30am CST] “The Issue with Dylan Rosser has been resolved…we have come to an agreement that h(sic) would remove my photos due to the misunderstanding we had. I will remove the comments I posted on him because I respect that he decided to remove my photos as I have asked,” Dexter stated on his facebook page.

What can we say… some people were born to be doctors and others were born to dance to Britney’s song. We like seeing a muscle guy (in this case a porn star) dance like every other gays out there, but the thing that bugs me about this video the most is its irrelevance to the ’cause’ that its producer, CRUSH, were trying to push.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Their press release states, “to celebrate the video’s launch, Crush is asking everyone who cares about the LGBT community’s health, likes Britney Spears, or just loves to see chiseled guys grind and kiss, to help get the video to 1 million youtube views.”

Crush’s ultimate goal: To make Las Vegas, Nevada’s LGBT community smoke-free.

Umm, okay? How exactly is watching this helping anyone in Vegas wanting to go smoke-free? If anything the gays are more willing to smoke a faggot, if you get my drift.

“[The video was] for a good cause and I had fun,” Roman Heart mused.

By the looks of his male co-stars’ faces and bulges, he wasn’t the only one having a good time.

If you enjoy corny lovesick movie lines, stories that take too long to develop, but still relic over a shirtless man then ‘I Am Number Four’ might just be up your alley.

Though the movie screamed cliché, I do have to admit that asides from the fat man behind me snoring his life away and one of my best friend moaning every time Alex Pettyfer came on screen shirtless, the graphics were kind of cool.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Bad acting, hundreds of sexual innuendos, and a cute little beagle that morph into an alien dog with a spikey tail was pretty much the highlight of the movie.

It was like a very bad clash between ‘Twilight’ and the ‘Harry Potter’ series. Their villains looked like a gang of Lord Voldemort with even-worst skin conditions.

Oh, and the best scene of the whole movie in my opinion was when Teresa Palmer, who plays Number 6, went into the doggy style position to deflect the mega explosion from killing Alex Pettyfer (Number 4). Teresa shut every single power bottom out there up!

Life lesson learned: Use doggy style to deflect the evil spirits away.

The movie does leave room for a sequel, but I guess we won’t find out about that until the box office numbers come in this weekend.

If you’re like me and can watch a bad movie as long as there is a decent looking character in there, then by all means, go support these actor’s career.

STORYLINE:
Extraordinary teen John Smith (Pettyfer) is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events-his first love (Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.

Okay you know what, when we’re wrong, we’re wrong. Our wicked stepsister blog, ManHuntDaily, pointed out that we incorrectly mislabeled GLEE’s Darren Criss as a “bear” in our recent post.

We may have been a little hasty and jumped the gun there. We’re sorry for calling him a bear and hurting the feelings of all the hair-grabbers out there. I’m sorry that I’m not accustomed to, er, chest hair.

While Darren Criss isn’t anywhere near Chewbacca status, chest hair is chest hair. It starts off sprouting little twins and then it becomes a full-blown uncontrollable plethora of something that looks like moss with worms in it.

When it comes to men with chest hair they can be termed as an Otter, Cub or Bear — and then of course, Chewbacca.

In Popwired’s eye… chest hair = bear. End of story.

This brings us to another interesting topic: The terminology used in the gay community.

One big example is we create different terms for the different level of gayness that exist out there. For a community that strides to be so equal, why do we have all these terms to separate our own kind within these categories? What do you guys define as a bear?

I would love to hear some feedback. Thanks!

Singer Rihanna is back in the headlines. No, the girl didn’t get knocked in the face again. This time it’s for stealing ideas from other artists.

Fashion photographer David LaChapelle is suing Rihanna for $1 million dollars — that’s American dollars baby, not that Barbados stuff. Rihanna is alleged to have stolen the orginal ideas and concepts of David LaChapelle to put in her new music video, ‘S&M’.

LaChapelle told CNN, “I really like Riri — this is not personal, strictly business,” he said. “Musicians commonly pay to sample music or use someone’s beats and there should be no difference when ‘sampling’ artist’s visuals.”

The video, released this month for her song “S&M,” “obviously copied” LaChapelle’s “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting,” the suit says.

As evidence of the copyright infringement LaChapelle as 8 frames of the video clip which compares to the 8 photos that he shot.

Who do you think the court will rule in favor of?
